Let’s not forget that grey hair is a natural process that cannot be stopped but there are some possible ways to prevent the chances of getting grey hair at an early age or even less grey hair during your old age.

Here are some of the home remedies that might help:

Coconut oil:

Coconut

Coconut oil help darken the hair. All you need to do is mix lemon and coconut oil.

The combination of these two causes a chemical reaction that darkens the hair naturally over a period of time.

Alternatively, boil one cup of coconut oil. Add hibiscus leaves, almond oil, and methi powder to the mixture.

Cool and strain and keep it in a glass jar to apply at least 3-4 times a week.

Black tea

Black tea

Black Tea has caffeine which is loaded with anti-oxidants. While adding a natural dark hue to the hair, stimulates hair growth and strengthens it giving it a shine.

Treating your hair to a black tea rinse will not only help you get rid of grey hair naturally but also leave your hair looking shinier than before.

Make one cup of black tea without adding milk to it and add one tablespoon of salt to this mixture.

Now massage the lukewarm tea on your head, making sure that your hair roots are nicely nourished.

Let the mixture stay on your hair for at least half an hour, before washing your hair thoroughly with a good quality shampoo.

Almond oil and lemon juice

Almond

Almond oil has Vitamin E which is extremely beneficial for hair. It nourishes the roots and prevents premature greying.

Lemon juice not only adds gloss and volume to hair but also promotes healthy hair growth.

Mix almond oil and lemon juice in the ratio of 2:3. Massage well in the scalp and hair. Wash off after 30 minutes.

Amla Powder

Amla

Amla is a rich source of Vitamin C and has been used in Ayurveda for all kinds of hair problems.

Moreover, Amla is an excellent remedy for grey hair when mixed in coconut oil and applied to your scalp on a regular basis.

The best would be to boil some dried amla pieces in coconut oil and let it stand overnight.

Apply this oil to your hair for speedy treatment of grey hair. If you want you can grate some ginger and honey in this mixture too.

Tips to Prevent Your Hair from Getting Greasy

7th December 2021
"An overly greasy scalp can lead to uncomfortable itching. Moreover, it can even cause dandruff."

An overly greasy scalp can lead to uncomfortable itching. Moreover, it can even cause dandruff.

Greasy hair sometimes can be very irritating so here are a few tips to cut the grease without damaging your hair or irritating your scalp.

Use Products formulated for Oily Hair

You always should be aware of the products you use in your hair and most importantly the quality of your hair. If your shampoo isn’t cutting it, try a clarifying shampoo that has stronger detergents.

This can help lift oil and leave your hair grease-free.

Oil free

However, if you love sweaty workouts or find you need to wash daily, mild baby shampoo can be less irritating and better suited for frequent use.

Wash after wearing hair accessories ( Helmet/Hat)

Hats, helmets, scarves, and headbands can spread oils and trap heat. Always remember to quick wash you’re after you undo the hat hair or helmets. Or use head accessories till your next wash.

Rinse Properly

Always be careful while washing your hair. Simple, Don’t Rush! Spend an extra minute or two making sure you have all of the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. This can make a big difference in how your hair looks and feels.

Moreover, products that are left behind can coat your hair, making it look and feel dirty and itchy.

Be Gentle:

Whether you’re washing, brushing, styling, or scratching your head, it’s important to be extra gentle. Irritating your scalp can actually overstimulate it and cause your oil glands to produce even more oil.

Be gentle

Use Clean Brush

Remember! A dirty brush has no place with freshly washed hair. Your brush can be full of styling products, and oil.

Always make sure you clean up your styling tools with a bit of shampoo or gentle soap to strip off the buildup from time to time.

Likewise, clean out all of the loose hair after each brushing to keep your brush free of oil and dirt.

Prevent your Hair from Going Grey | Causes and Solutions|

8th December 2021
"As your hair follicles age, they produce less color."

As your hair follicles age, they produce less color. Let’s not forget that grey hair is a natural process that cannot be stopped but there are some possible ways to prevent the chances of getting grey hair at an early age or even less grey hair during your old age.

All you need to do is take proper care of your hair. Some of the major causes and tips to prevent your hair from going grey are listed below:

Vitamins:

There are a number of dietary deficiencies that science shows can contribute to graying hair. Vitamins are one of them. Moreover, vitamin D and B12. Ensure you have an adequate level of Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12.

Vitamins

Foods like trout, salmon, mushrooms, milk, eggs, beef liver, clams, and tuna have enough vitamins. Try including these foods in your meal every day to get rid of grey hairs.

Don't Smoke

Among other negatives, smoking can damage and shrink hair follicles. This one is a given not only for hair health but for our general health as well.

No smoke

In other words, smoking can have the same accelerated aging effect on your hair as it can have on your skin.

Avoid Stress

The other main cause of gray hair is stress. It is said that chronic stress can lead to inflammation.

Stress

This inflammation might turn off the melanin-producing cells in our scalp while shortening our hair growth cycles, leading to premature gray hair.

Chemicals

The use of chemical-based shampoos, soaps, hair dyes, etc. directly causes hair problems. It leads to dry hair, dandruff, split ends, and don’t forget it also leads to early grey hair. However, it can result from some allergic infections as well.

No chemicals

Stop or minimize the use of chemicals if you don't want early grey hair.
