In India, the Isuzu D-Max pick-up and MU-X SUV were released in 2021, with prices starting at INR 16.98 lakh and INR 32.23 lakh, respectively. Both versions have been reintroduced since being phased out when the BS6 period began in April 2020.
The new Isuzu pickups are powered by a BS6-compliant 1.9-liter diesel engine, which takes the place of the 2.5-liter oil burner that was previously available. The new 1.9-liter diesel engine has a peak power of 161 bhp and a maximum torque of 360Nm. The Highlander version is only available in two-wheel drive and with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which is one of the main differences between it and the V-Cross trims.
The new pick-up is available in three models: Hi-Lander, V-Cross Z, and V-Cross Z Prestige. Halogen headlights and all-black wing mirrors are standard on the Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander. A manual air conditioning system, a 4-speaker audio system, front and rear headrests, a tilt steering wheel, and other features are included. The new D-Max Hi-Lander will come standard with driver and passenger airbags, an underbody bash plate, brake assist, front disc brakes, and a seatbelt pretensioner with load limiter.
Auto-leveling LED projector headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and go, auto climate control, a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with USB, Bluetooth, Aux-in, and DVD connectivity, steering-mounted controls, and a rear parking camera are among the features available on the Isuzu V-Cross. Side and curtain airbags, ESC, stability control, hill-descent assist, shift-on-the-fly 4WD, leather seats, an 8-speaker sound system, a powered driver's seat, and auto cruise control are all included in the V-Cross Z Prestige.
