Vianet was the first ISP to introduce FTTH in Nepal. FTTH is the latest technology in communication in which data is transferred via light source and has an unlimited bandwidth capacity compared to other current technologies like ADSL and Coaxial Cable.
It uses optical fiber to provide all or part of the local loop used for last mile telecommunications. Fiber optic cables can carry much more data than copper cables, especially over long distances.

Vianet’s service is currently available in 22 cities spread across 18 districts in Nepal. They are working on expanding their network coverage to more places in the future.
They have a total of 27 operation centers and 33 customer service centers. Last year they increased their FUP limit by up to 80%, so the new FUP quota for 25Mbps internet is 800 GB.
