Earlier this month we saw the first renders of the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro. They show that the company has chosen a camera hump design similar to the 8T and Nord N-series rather than a continuation of the 7 Pro and 8 Pro design.

 

There are two prominent camera modules plus two smaller lenses. A wide, ultra-wide, and tele cameras are a given, but the function of the fourth cam is unknown – we doubt the controversial IR camera will make a return. But no periscope camera either, by the looks of it. Anyway, LetsGoDigital and Concept Creator worked together to create new, more life-like renders of the device for everyone to enjoy. Notice the curved sides of the screen – the curvature looks more pronounced than the one on the OnePlus 8 Pro, here’s a 3D model for comparison:
 

OnePlus 8 Pro

The screen itself will stick to a 6.7” diagonal, which is the norm for recent Pro models. We’ve heard rumors that the refresh rate will be nudged up to 144 Hz and that the Pro will feature beefed-up stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. By the way, the OnePlus 9 renders show a flat-screen.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected earlier than usual with a mid-March launch. This could be a response to the earlier Galaxy S21 launch or just intended to give the 9-series more time before the inevitable 9T refresh shows up later in the year.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will be powered by the new Snapdragon 875 chipset, which will be made official later this week. We’ve already seen both phones running Geekbench with 8 GB of RAM, so a memory upgrade is not in the cards. The charging system will move up to 65W, however, following Warp Charge 65’s debut with the 8T.

The duo will launch in the US, with T-Mobile getting both models while Verizon will once again opt for a mmWave version of the non-Pro model alone. But all of that is a few months away. For now, enjoy this short video of a virtual OnePlus 9 Pro

OnePlus has finally launched OnePlus 8 Pro in Nepal. The phone along with OnePlus 8 had been launched in the international market in April; however, due to complications in transportations and restrictions caused by CoronaVirus Pandemic, the launch of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro was delayed. It is now finally available in the Nepalese market.

Design and Display

OnePlus has made several changes in OnePlus 8 Pro compared to its predecessors. It is a glass build a near-flagship smartphone that has Gorilla Glass 5 on both back and front with a matte finish. Also, the phone has an aluminum frame. The phone is IP68 certified; so, no need to worry while using the phone amidst any kind of environment as it is water/dust resistant.

OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inches HDR10+ AMOLED display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and 240Hz touch Sampling Rate along with a resolution of 1440×3168 pixels. One can choose the refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz from the setting as well.

Camera

OnePlus 8 Pro features a Quad camera setup at the rear with a unique design. It has a 48MP Sony IMX689 primary sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX586 ultra-wide-angle sensor, an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor, and a 5MP color filter camera. Sony IMX689 facilitates high-quality photography even at low-light by reducing noise. Likewise, it has a 16MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cut out at the top left of the smartphone.

Performance and Battery

OnePlus has always impressed its customers with fast speed smartphones. OnePlus is using the slogan 'Lead with speed' for the OnePlus 8 Pro. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and runs on the OS of android 10. It is available in two variants 8GB/128GB storage and 12GB/256GB storage.

OnePlus 8 Pro has a massive 4510mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging; 30W fast wireless charging and 3W reverse wireless charging.
