The latest Android 11 developer preview for OnePlus 8-series was found to contain an image of an upcoming phone - the OnePlus 8T. The render reveals the front which looks identical to the OnePlus 8 with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner and a flat display. The image in the software build is titled as OnePlus_8T.webp and comes from the About Phone section.

In addition to the render, we also get a glimpse of the reworked Game Space menus in both landscape and portrait mode as well as hints about 8K video support for upcoming devices from the OnePlus Camera app (version 5.4.74). Elsewhere, the Messages app reveals it will gain support for RCS standard.

Previous OnePlus 8T leaks include a Geekbench listing which revealed it’s powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or its plus variant alongside 8GB RAM. We’re also expecting 65W Super Warp Charging.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently teased the company’s upcoming smartphone display. The next flagship phone from OnePlus i.e. OnePlus 8 Pro will feature a 120Hz Fluid Display and uses a motion interpolation method to make higher frame rate videos more useful for content consumers.

This will allow users to watch their normal 30p or 60p content as well as a higher frame rate video which will be created by a custom-made “MEMC” chip in the 8 Pro by inserting additional frames to the videos. This is a common feature found among higher-end TVs.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also shared a comparison of the 120Hz Fluid Display with a conventional 60Hz screen. Video, Lau shared was slowed down to 30fps to compare both the videos in 60fps.

Talking about the OnePlus 8 Pro specs, it is expected to feature a hole-punch selfie camera, a quad-camera setup, similar appearance to the OnePlus 7 Pro, Snapdragon 865 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and run on the latest version of Oxygen OS.

OnePlus is launching phones that don’t weaken the wallets of their customers. After the lauch of OnePlus Nord, a mid-range phone, previously this year, OnePlus Clover, an entry-level smartphone, is rumored to be next in the line.

Rumored Features of OnePlus Clover

‘Clover’ is a codename for this device and there is no confirmation about the name of this up-coming budget Smartphone. The OnePlus clover is expected to attract large number of average smartphone users with its price and features.

OnePlus Clover is powered by Snapdragon 460 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone will also come with a microSD card support.  As Clover is expected to have 6000 mAh battery with 18-W fast charging, OnePlus doesn’t seem to compromise on the battery despite being a entry-level Smartphone. The display size of 6.52-inch HD+ also seems generous, even though it's an LCD.

The OnePlus Clover, expected to launch later this year, will be the only 4G phone released by OnePlus this year. A trio of rear cameras including 13MP primary + two 2MP lenses is expected; however, there is no information about its selfie camera. 

The OnePlus Clover will be a budget-friendly entry-level Smartphone costing around $200 or NRs. 19,550.

Motorola has announced its new mid-range 5G Smartphone- Moto One 5G. It is a rebranded Moto G 5G Plus with a unique ring flash. Although the price is not certain yet, Motorola promises it to be less than $500. And the phone will only be available in the US for now.

FEATURES OF MOTO ONE 5G

Moto One 5G has features similar to that of Moto G 5G Plus that was released last month. It has 6 cameras- four rear cameras and two selfie cameras. One of the selfie cameras is a 16MP f/2.0 and the other is an 8MP ultra-wide shooter for wide selfies. At the rear, the main camera is a 48MP shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera, along with a ring light.

It has a Snapdragon 765G chipset. The Smartphone comes in 4GB RAM and 128GB storage that can be extended up to 1TB. It has a 6.7 inch LCD screen (FHD+), a 21:9 aspect ratio along with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of the rear fingerprint scanner.

The 5G phone comes with a huge 5000mAh battery that can support 20W fast charging. 

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The price and availability of the phone have not been clearly mentioned; however, the phone is expected to be released in October with the expected price of around $417.

MOTOROLA MOTO G9 PRICE AND SPECIFICATIONS

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd’s latest foldable smartphone is also its largest, offering users a tablet-size screen 12% bigger than its first Galaxy Fold.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the Galaxy Z Fold2’s screen measures 7.6 inches (19.3 cm) when unfolded. The 5G compatible phone will also be Samsung’s most expensive foldable, priced at $1,999 in the United States compared to $1,980 for the Galaxy Fold launched last year.

The new model, however, is facing a tough market with economic uncertainties created by the coronavirus pandemic cooling demand for high-end smartphones.

Despite the launch of its premium Galaxy S20 lineup in March, Samsung has fared particularly badly. Its second-quarter smartphone sales plummeted 30% and South Korean tech giant ceded its position as the world’s biggest smartphone seller to Chinese rival Huawei Technologies Co Ltd [HWT.UL], according to research firm Canalys.

Offered in two colours - mystic black and mystic bronze - the Galaxy Z Fold2 will go on sale on Sept. 18 in about 40 countries.
