Proton X70 Launching Soon In Nepal
"The Proton X70 has been spotted several times on Kathmandu's streets"
The Proton X70 has been spotted several times on Kathmandu's streets. It gives us great pleasure to inform you that the X70 will be available in Nepal very soon. The Proton X70 is Malaysia's best-selling SUV, competing with the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage. Proton Cars' official distributor in Nepal is Jagdamba Motors, a subsidiary of Shanker Group. In the Nepalese market, the Proton X70 will join the Saga sedan in the company's lineup.
The Proton X70 seen on Naxal roads has an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which is only found in a few premium brands. The distributor is believed to be testing the adaptability of such features on Nepalese roads.
The Proton X70, according to our sources, will be powered by a 1.5-liter TGDi turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine producing 255 Nm of torque (which will be the highest in the segment). It also has a 7-speed DCT transmission, which was developed jointly by Volvo and Geely. The gearbox maximizes efficiency while minimizing shift response time, making it an ideal match for the 1.5TGDi engine. It is also thought that the model has a 2WD option as well as a well-positioned 4WD option for Nepal's roads.
According to the manufacturer's website, the Proton X70 SUV comes standard with best-in-class features such as 6 Airbags, ABS with EBS and BA, Auto Headlights & Wipers, Keyless Entry (with active touch sensors on the front door handles), Push-Start, 360-Degree Camera, 8 Speakers, 8-inch Infotainment Screen, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Climate Control with Smart Air Purifier Syst The X70 also has a full 5-star crash test rating from ASEAN-NCAP and was named Malaysia's Car of the Year in 2019.
The X70 is also expected to receive the ‘HI PROTON' voice command assistance system, which is a Global Key User Interface (GKUI) system capable of detecting and responding to selected voice commands to improve safety by allowing drivers to focus on the road ahead. Voice Command can answer basic questions and control major functions of the infotainment system and vehicle in-car functions. You can also control many other aspects of the vehicle, such as the radio, sunroof, windshields, and audio calls, among others.
