Take Care of Your Wet Hair | Tips |
"Wet hair is much more susceptible to damage than dry hair."
Wet hair is much more susceptible to damage than dry hair. There are many things you should never do to wet hair.
Here are a few things you should never do in wet hair:
Hairspray
This is a product that should never be used on wet hair. When you put hairspray on wet hair, the outcome is hard, flaky hair, which is not what you want.
To achieve the desired effect, make sure your hair is totally dry before using hairspray.
Tie wet hair into a bun or ponytail
Some ladies have a bad habit of putting their hair in a bun just after washing it, which is a big no-no. When your hair is wet, its elasticity is at its peak, so putting it in a bun or ponytail causes it to stretch, even more, creating tension breaking.
Furthermore, your scalp will not receive enough air to dry, which can lead to rashes or other skin irritations. After washing, let your hair air dry or use a hairdryer to dry it.
Straightener on wet hair
Straighteners and curlers should never be used when your hair is still wet or semi-dried.
You may be in a hurry, but styling your hair before it's entirely dry is actually frying it, resulting in a damaged, dull appearance.
Go to bed with wet hair
Don't sleep with wet hair because it might create knots, breakage, and stretching.
This will result in a frizzy disaster if you have curly hair. Regardless of what else you want to sleep with, make sure your hair is dry before you go to bed.
