Mistakes to Avoid While Applying Hair Conditioner

23rd January 2022
"A conditioner does for hair what a moisturizer does for your skin."

A conditioner does for hair what a moisturizer does for your skin. It moisturizes and protects your hair from damage of all types.

However, you should be aware that even the greatest quality product will not work if you do not use it correctly.

So, here are some errors to avoid when treating your hair with conditioner:

Too much (or too little) product

Too much product does not imply better outcomes. Instead, it will weigh down your hair and make it tough to remove the conditioner. Not to mention the waste product. It's sufficient to apply a small coating of high-quality product to your hair.

Applying too much, on the other hand, might result in product build-up and make your hair seem greasy. The amount you need to apply is determined by the length and thickness of your hair.

Not using the right conditioner

Depending on your needs, look for a combination of silicones to smooth the strands, amino acids to strengthen the hair, provitamins or panthenol to moisturize, and mineral oil or petrolatum to protect. The product's efficiency can be increased by using it correctly.

It's best to use conditioner where it's needed rather than slathering it all over your head. Concentrate on the hair tips that are extremely dry, and avoid massaging the product into your scalp.

Using it on the roots

The most common error is to apply conditioner to the roots. Because the scalp generates natural sebum to nurture the roots, putting conditioner on the scalp would further make the roots overly oily and dry.

The thought of massaging the creamy conditioner through the roots is tempting, but it should preferably be used only on hair strands. Smear a coin-sized quantity of conditioner on your fingers and work it through your hair from the center to the tips.

Not keeping it on for long enough

It is critical to massage the mask into the hair and allow it to dissolve. So it won't work if you just dab it on and rinse it off like a shampoo.

Apply deep conditioning masks in parts and leave them on for at least 10 to 30 minutes while wearing a shower cap. This will leave your hair moisturized and shiny.

Hair Myths you Should Stop Believing Now

4th January 2022
"There are several myths and misconceptions about hair. We may also hear various misinformation about hair care procedures."

There are several myths and misconceptions about hair. We may also hear various misinformation about hair care procedures.

However, none of these are true or supported by scientific data. Here are certain hair misconceptions you should quit believing right now.

Brushing your hair frequently makes it look healthier

This is known to cause further harm to your hair. Moreover, brushing pulls out hair that isn't ready to come out, damages good hair, and is likely to cause further hair loss.

You should encourage yourself to Brush your hair softly for style purposes only and not to stimulate it.

If you trim your hair frequently, it will grow faster

Hair grows from the follicles in the scalp. The number of cuts you get has nothing to do with how fast or slow your hair grows.

Trimming your hair on a regular basis will help you avoid split ends and breakage.

As a result, minor trimming every 6-8 weeks will keep your hair looking healthy.

Shaving your head will give you a thicker hair

Hair grows from follicles in your scalp that are healthy. Shaving your hair will have no effect on the quantity or quality of healthy hair follicles on your scalp.

It will also not make your hair thicker. You should actually stop believing this right now and treat your hair with vitamins.

Wearing a hat or cap too much can cause hair to fall

Wearing a hat or cap will not force your hair out of the follicles.

However, if you don't maintain your hat clean, it might lead to scalp infections.

The only time a tight hat or cap may induce hair fall is when it produces considerable friction on the scalp and pulls your hair, which is not always possible.
