Tata Punch was officially unveiled today and is gearing up for an India launch on October 20.

Punch SUV would be able to cater to the needs of a vehicle with a solid road presence, feature-packed cabin and ability to navigate varied terrains, all in a compact overall proportion.

Tata Punch appears to have large wheel arches and will be offered in dual-tone colour options. The face is styled by a ‘Humanity Line’ on the front grille headlights with LED DRLs. It also gets 16-inch alloy wheels.

Punch gets a 1.2 Revotron engine under the hood with Dynapro Technology. It claims to go from zero to 60 kmph in 6.5 seconds and takes around 16 seconds to reach 100 kmph. Tata Motors is also underlining the addition of augmented AMT with Altitude Terrain mapping. There is also a five-speed manual transmission option.

Punch safety 

Tata Motors underlines the safety credentials of Punch. Based on ALFA-ARC architecture, it gets 187 mm ground clearance, 20.3-degree approach angle, 22.2-degree ramp over angle, Traction Control Mode and has 370 mm water-wading capability.

ABS with EBD comes as standard. Brake Sway Control offered for the first time in a Tata car. Punch will come with tyre repair kit.

Punch will be offered in seven colours and four variants - Tata calls it 'Personas'

The first is Pure and it gets dual airbags, 15-inch wheels, dual-drive mode, engine-start stop, 90-degree opening doors, rear flat floor. The colour options available are White and Grey.

Then there is the Adventure. Its highlights, over and above what's already on offer in Pure, are a 4-inch infotainment system, steering-mounted control, front and rear power windows and central remote locking.

The third persona is Accomplished which has a seven-inch infotainment screen, rear-view cam, voice recognition, passive entry, push-button start, six-way height-adjustable seats and cruise control.

Creative is the fourth persona. It is offered in Red, Blue and dual-tone colour themes. It gets projector headlights and LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, electric ORVMs, auto temperature control, cooled glovebox, leather-wrapped steering and gear knob, and iRA connected technology. 

Punch SUV will take on the likes of Suzuki Ignis and the upcoming Hyundai micro-SUV which is likely to be called Casper

Tata Motors in partnership with Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd has launched its much-hyped SUV, Tata Safari 2021. Tata Safari flagship SUV in Nepal at a starting price of Rs 82,35,000

Tata Safari is available in Royale Blue, Orcus White and Daytona Grey colour options while inside it will have a Signature Oyster White Interior colour scheme.

The interiors of the new Safari have been crafted with exquisite deft to convey a classy, comfortable feel and to ensure that you can soak themselves in luxury during your journeys with your loved ones.

The SUV is offered with Signature Ashwood Dashboard, Premium Benecke KalikoTM Oyster White Perforated Leather Seat Upholstery and Door Pad Inserts, Satin Chrome Pack, Soft Touch Dashboard with Anti Reflective ‘Nappa’ Grain Top Layer, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel & Gear Shift Knob.

Exterior

Tata Safari's exterior is quite reminiscent. The smart and expressive surface treatment brings in a surreal dynamism. 

It gets a chunky Grille with the Signature Tri-Arrow Chrome motif encased by the Humanity Line. It also gets the iconic stepped roof, held between the equally well-regarded roof rails.

Tata Safari gets Flared Wheel Arches and Protective Side Cladding, Dual Tone Front Bumper, Xenon HID Projector Headlamps, Dual Function LED Day-time Running Lamps (DRLs) with Turn Indicators, Signature Twin Light LED Tail Lamps, 18-inch Machined Alloy Wheels and Shark Fin Antenna.

Engine

Tata Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo-charged diesel engine. This engine churns out 167.63bhp at 3750rpm and a peak torque of 350Nm at 2500rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. The engine is BS6 compliant and gets 5- litres of the fuel tank. Tata Safari is offered either in 6 or 7 seater option.

Tata HBX micro-SUV officially unveiled as Tata Punch

"Tata HBX will be officially called Tata Punch and the micro-SUV is expected to be launched in the festive period."

Tata Motors on Monday officially unveiled its much-awaited micro SUV Punch.

Tata Motors had first showcased Punch as the HBX concept micro-SUV during the Auto Expo last year.

With the perfect combination of stunning design, technology, and driving dynamics, the Punch will come equipped with superlative features and an architecture that has proven its versatility in all forms," said Shailesh Chandra - President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors. “True to the SUV genes of all Tata Motors’ products and catering to needs of customers who are looking for a compact city car with pure SUV characteristics, Punch will be the fourth addition to our SUV family, widening the range of options for all to choose from."

Punch is the first SUV from Tata Motors to be built on ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) and has been developed under Impact 2.0 design language.

The carmaker is targeting a younger generation to take a special liking towards the vehicle which is being promised as a great city-commuting option while also being sporty enough on open highway roads.

Punch SUV will take on the likes of Suzuki Ignis and the upcoming Hyundai micro-SUV which is likely to be called Casper.
