Use Ornaments

Much more than an afterthought, garden ornaments can guide how you shape and use your outdoor space, and affect how it feels when you're in it.

A wrought-iron gate can mark the entrance to a world of green, a tree-hung lantern raises your perspective, a curved bench inspires a nap.

Upcycle some pieces

If you have some unusual items in your home look for ideas of things to make for the garden. You can upcycle some of them into some incredible planters.

In some cases, it's just a case of filling them with soil and adding some blooms.

Add pretty lighting

Solar lighting will give your garden a professional look, as well as extend your enjoyment by a few hours every day.

Choose staked lights that flick on as soon as the sun sets and you'll be blown away by the impact.

"Plant your own veggies and flowers!"

Gardening is a part of horticulture which includes the practice of growing and cultivating plants. Usually, people think of flower gardens all decorated with beautiful flowers and perfectly trimmed topiary plants into beautiful shapes. We are here to break this stereotype and make you aware of different forms of gardening that differs based on the availability of the space, and other resources.

Flower Gardening/ Butterfly Gardening

These are the stereotype gardening that we talked about. It includes butterfly gardening, topiary gardening, flower planting, etc. Basically, it is the type of gardening where people grow varieties of flowers based upon their needs and wish. You may have heard of the popular tulip garden of Amsterdam- it is also a flower garden filled with various colored tulips. If you have enough space, time, and wish to have a garden with beautiful scent and butterflies, then try flower gardening. You can either hire a gardener to maintain your garden or can learn to maintain the garden on your own.

Container Gardening

If you do not have enough space in your house, then container gardening is the go-to option for you. It is the easiest form of gardening especially for people with a busy schedule. Gather up some soil in an old container, buy some seeds that are easy to grow, plant it, and water it every morning while sipping your morning coffee. It is the most convenient and emerging form of gardening.

Fruits, Vegetables, and Herbs Gardening

As the name suggests, it basically is the plantation of fruits, veggies, and herbs on your own. If you want fresh and organic veggies for you and your family, then you can plant some vegetable seeds in open space in your space and grow some veggies on your own. Moreover, if the weather, climate, and other factors are favorable, you can grow fruits in your space as well to have fresh and healthy fruits and herbs as well.

Organic Gardening

You can start organic gardening in your kitchen garden or even in containers or rooftop gardens with the organic wastes you collect in your house. You can use compost manure, recycle yard wastes, and grow organic fruits and foods with natural pesticides and fertilizers. You can grow healthy organic foods untouched by harmful chemicals.

Water Gardening

It is one of the oldest forms of gardening.  Water gardening is gardening concerned with growing plants adapted to pools and ponds. The pool must contain suitable oxygenating plants to keep the water clear and support any introduced fish. Most water plants, including even the large water lilies, do well in still water two to five feet deep.

Tools you must have for indoor gardening

26th January 2021
"Don't miss out on these tools before you start gardening."

Gardening is really fun and relaxing. It adds a little bit of greenery to your house and an immense amount of positive vibrance around you. With all the nature and freshness in the house, there won't be any other place better than your house. Well, if you want to get into gardening, besides the basics of growing and taking care of your plants, you'll need some tools to take care of your plants. So, let's talk about such essential tools for indoor gardening.

Hand fork

You'll need to turn and loosen the soil sometimes to keep your plant healthy. And for this, you'll need a hand fork that is easy to hold and handle. Make sure it won't be much heavy as it becomes difficult to use in tiny pots. Also, ensure the tines of the fork are strong enough; so that, they won't break while using.

Pruners

Pruners are essential no matter what type of plant you're planting. You can easily cut off the dead stems and leaves, or you can easily cut the stem to propagate it into another pot. Ensure the pruners are sharp enough to cut the stems and roots neatly.

Small indoor watering can

Unless you have turned your spare room or garage into a garden, you won't need a huge watering can. So, get yourself a smaller indoor watering can that will do the work. Get one with a long spout because that will help you get the water-fed delicately right into the center of the plants, avoiding the water splashing off the leaves, which would only waste the water.

Gloves

You'll have to do a lot of household chores from cleaning to cooking besides gardening. So, to avoid the transfer of bacteria and dirt to any other places, make sure to wear gloves best if made up of rubber. Wearing gloves will also help you avoid the cuts and scars from stones and thorns.

Pots and planters

Pots and planters are the must on the list. You cannot have an indoor garden without pots. And, if you like having a jolly environment, do look for beautiful and decorative pots and planters.

Spray bottle

Not all plants need a good dose of watering. Plenty is going to do just fine misted on occasion, with other types favoring a daily misting. So, with a spray bottle, you can spray water to such plants in your free time.

Trays or pot base

Every soil-based plant has a hole at the bottom of the pot to throw out the excess water. So, to avoid the mess created by such plants, place some tray or pot base at the bottom of the plant.
