Diabetes can manifest itself in a variety of ways, and how it has been treated varies according to the type. It is also crucial to note that not all varieties of diabetes develop as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle; some are present since childhood.

Here are some home remedies to treat control diabetes:

Apple Cider Vinegar

Acetic acid is the major ingredient in ACV and is thought to be responsible for many of its health benefits. Taking 2 teaspoons before bedtime can help lower your fasting sugar levels in the morning.

Even better, 1-2 teaspoons of ACV with meals can lower the glycemic load of a carbohydrate-heavy diet.

Aloe Vera

The juice of aloe vera is well known for its cleansing properties. As a result, make sure to get the gel's juice!

There is a growing body of data supporting the usage of the gel, which is the mucilaginous material found within the leaves.

Fenugreek (Methi)

This herb provides a number of advantages. It is reported to help control diabetes by improving glucose tolerance, reducing blood sugar levels, and boosting insulin secretion.

Soak 2 teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight, then drink the water with the seeds first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

This will assist in lowering your glucose levels.

Vitamin C

If you have chronic diabetes, you should consume vitamin C-rich foods such as oranges, lemons, and so on on a daily basis. It not only promotes good skin but also lowers blood sugar levels.

Every day, consume at least 600 mg of vitamin C.

What To Do If You Test Positive For Omicron?

28th January 2022
"As the omicron form spreads rapidly across the country, the number of COVID-19 cases has continued to rise."

As the omicron form spreads rapidly across the country, the number of COVID-19 cases has continued to rise.

Several studies suggest that the omicron form causes less severe illnesses on average than previous versions of the virus, but it is still severe enough that some people need to be hospitalized.

Here are some things to do when you test positive for the Omicron variant.

Isolate for 5 days

If you test positive, you must still isolate — that is, remain away from other individuals, including those you live with. You should isolate yourself for five days regardless of your immunization status.

You can leave your house after five days if you have no symptoms, including no fever, and have not taken medication in the last 24 hours. For at least five days, you should wear a mask among other people.

Do not seek a confirming PCR test

As a result, doctors advise people who test positive for the virus at home not to get a second test. As a result, they are more likely to spread the infection to others and take up resources that could be used by others.

Notify your close contacts

COVID-19 is very contagious, so anyone you've spent time unmasked with before having symptoms or testing positive could be at risk.

Even if you only develop a moderate case of COVID-19, it could make someone else sick.

Notifying people who have been exposed lets them to be tested and potentially stop the transmission cycle, making it easier for them to seek treatment if necessary.

Consult Doctor if necessary

If you have a primary care doctor, you should tell them about your infection so they can assess whether or not treatment is necessary.

This is especially crucial if you are older and at a higher risk for severe COVID-19, are pregnant, or have pre-existing diseases like diabetes or a weaker immune system.

Reduce Uric Acid | Home Treatments |

1st February 2022
"Uric acid is a waste product created when purine-containing foods are digested."

Uric acid is a waste product created when purine-containing foods are digested. The kidneys and urine are generally used to eliminate uric acid from the body.

If you eat too much purine or if your body can't get rid of it soon enough, uric acid can build up in your blood.

Avoid sugar

While uric acid is normally associated with protein-rich diets, new research suggests that sugar may also be a factor. Sugar content, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup are examples of added sugars in food.

Fructose and glucose-containing sugars are abundant in sugary drinks, soda, and even fresh fruit juices. Sugary drinks should be replaced with filtered water and fiber-rich smoothies.

Drink more water

Drinking enough of water encourages your kidneys to clear away uric acid more quickly.

Always have a water bottle with you. Set an hourly alarm to remind you to drink a few sips.

Avoid alcohol

You may become dehydrated if you drink alcohol. High uric acid levels might also be a result of it.

This occurs because, rather than filtering uric acid and other wastes, your kidneys must first filter compounds that occur in the blood owing to alcohol. Beer, for example, has a high purine content.

Lose Weight

Weight gain, in addition to your nutrition, might elevate your uric acid levels. Uric acid production is higher in fat cells than in muscle cells. Furthermore, gaining weight makes it more difficult for your kidneys to filter out uric acid.

Losing weight too soon can have a negative impact on levels. It's advised to avoid fad diets and crash dieting if you're overweight.

Consult a nutritionist to develop a balanced eating and weight-loss plan that you can stick to.

Reduce Stress

Inflammatory can be worsened by stress, poor sleeping habits, and insufficient exercise. A high uric acid level can be caused by inflammation.

To help you cope with your stress levels, use mindful practices such as breathing exercises and yoga. Join a class or set an alarm on your phone to remind you to stretch and breathe multiple times a day.
