Dos and Don'ts to Follow If Your Smartphone Falls In Water
"There's always the risk of accidentally ruining our smartphone with water."
There's always the risk of accidentally ruining our smartphone with water.
So, in the case that your smartphone is submerged in water, here are some simple guidelines to follow.
Do: Switch it off immediately
If your phone becomes submerged in water, the first thing you should do is turn it off.
Using a wet smartphone can be dangerous since it will cause severe harm to the device and may cause it to stop working entirely.
Don't: Dry out the phone with a hairdryer
A hairdryer's heat is too hot. This may cause the device's electronic components to break down.
Also, keep your smartphone away from a hot oven or a radiator.
Do: Wipe thoroughly and shake it
Simply take a clean, dry towel and wipe the smartphone clean once it has been turned off. Then, to absorb as much moisture as possible, wrap it in paper tissues or a kitchen towel.
Remove all accessories (headphones, wires, etc.) and the SIM card as well as any memory cards from the phone.
After that, simply shake the smartphone from all directions to drain any remaining water.
Don't: Do not try to plug it in or push any external factors
If your smartphone has been damaged by water, we recommend that you do not charge it because this will cause a short circuit and further damage.
Additionally, it is recommended that you do not press any keys into any of the ports, as this may cause the device to be pushed further into the device.
Do: Put the smartphone in a bag full of rice
Because uncooked rice absorbs moisture, it can be used as a solution. Rice, on the other hand, produces a lot of dust, which is bad for smartphones.
However, submerging the mobile entirely in a bag of rice for at least 24 to 48 hours might be a solution.
