Tips on relieving pain from high heels
"If you can avoid the heel pain, then why not?"
It's always the battle between being comfy and looking chic for girls. Several times women have sacrificed comfort trying to look sexy and elegant. Don't let the movies fool you, it's not easy to run in heels in real life. One can barely stand painless for more than half an hour. And if your heels are all slopy you can feel your feet skin tearing apart. It's no joke to wear high heels.
Well, we're not trying to say that you must avoid heels at all costs but you can ease the pain to some extent. And we're here to aware you of few things you can do to avoid the pain.
Make sure the heels fit you
The heels should not be too big or too small for you. Too big and you’ll slip and slide and probably experience blisters from the friction. Too small and you’ll be putting more stress on your toes. So, when you try on, if you feel even a tiny bit of discomfort, then it's not the shoes for you.
Consider an open toe
Not only does this relieve stress on your toes, but they won’t be as constricted either, which means you’ll be at a lesser risk for all the possible feet issues like calluses, blisters, hammertoes, etc.
Try a thicker heel
Thicker heels are way more easier and convenient to wear than a stiletto. A thicker heel on a pump helps distribute your weight evenly, alleviating pressure on the most vulnerable parts of your feet.
Treat open blisters and sores
If you have any open blisters or sores then treat it with foot balm and take a break with heels. Put on something that'll keep you and your feet at ease. On your next heel worthy occasion, try preventing sores ahead of time using blister pads so you don’t need to cut your night short because of foot pain.
Consider the height and slope
A 3 inches heel looks equally sexy as a 4 inches heel but it'll bring a whole amount of difference to your pain. Also, while buying a heel check the slope of the shoes. If the shoe is way slopy then pass. Slopiness of heels is also one of the main reasons for your feet to be in agony after wearing heels.
