Tips to Prevent Your Hair from Getting Greasy

An overly greasy scalp can lead to uncomfortable itching. Moreover, it can even cause dandruff.

Greasy hair sometimes can be very irritating so here are a few tips to cut the grease without damaging your hair or irritating your scalp.

Use Products formulated for Oily Hair

You always should be aware of the products you use in your hair and most importantly the quality of your hair. If your shampoo isn’t cutting it, try a clarifying shampoo that has stronger detergents.

This can help lift oil and leave your hair grease-free.

Oil free

However, if you love sweaty workouts or find you need to wash daily, mild baby shampoo can be less irritating and better suited for frequent use.

Wash after wearing hair accessories ( Helmet/Hat)

Hats, helmets, scarves, and headbands can spread oils and trap heat. Always remember to quick wash you’re after you undo the hat hair or helmets. Or use head accessories till your next wash.

Rinse Properly

Always be careful while washing your hair. Simple, Don’t Rush! Spend an extra minute or two making sure you have all of the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. This can make a big difference in how your hair looks and feels.

Moreover, products that are left behind can coat your hair, making it look and feel dirty and itchy.

Be Gentle:

Whether you’re washing, brushing, styling, or scratching your head, it’s important to be extra gentle. Irritating your scalp can actually overstimulate it and cause your oil glands to produce even more oil.

Be gentle

Use Clean Brush

Remember! A dirty brush has no place with freshly washed hair. Your brush can be full of styling products, and oil.

Always make sure you clean up your styling tools with a bit of shampoo or gentle soap to strip off the buildup from time to time.

Likewise, clean out all of the loose hair after each brushing to keep your brush free of oil and dirt.

Tips to Prevent Hair Dryness this Winter

30th November 2021
"During the winter months, it is very important to look after your hair and keep it healthy."

During the winter months, it is very important to look after your hair and keep it healthy.

Healthy hair is known to be shiny with a smooth texture and clean-cut ends but sometimes during winter, we damage our hair which results in dryness with our carelessness and ignorance.

In this article, you will some solutions and tips to keep your hair smooth during winter.

Wear a Silk or Satin on your hair:

It is important to cover your hair during the winter months to shield it from moisture-robbing dry air, snow, wind, and rain. The elements dry your hair out, making it more prone to breakage.

Silk

Moreover, wool, cotton, and other fabrics can cause breakage as well, so make sure to line your hat with silk or satin to help prevent damage.

Lower the water temperature when you shower:

It’s cold and we all do is wash our hair with hot water. But do you know it causes damages to your hair?

Hot Shower

Even though a steamy shower might be just what you’re looking for when the temperature is below freezing, hot water can lose moisture from your hair making it brittle and causing split ends.

If is it really hard for you then wash your hair with lukewarm water and follow with a cool rinse instead.

Avoid Heat:

Winter is here and when we wash our hair our first choice is a blow-drying of a hair. Allowing your hair to air dry is best.

Avoid heat

Blow drying draws moisture out of your hair increasing the chance of breakage. Heat-free drying helps keep your hair safe, shiny, and healthy.

Even if you are short on time, try taking your shower in the evening so your tresses can dry naturally overnight. Embrace your natural hair and air-dry whenever possible.

Avoid frequent hair washes:

Remember over-washing your hair will strip it of natural oils that help to keep hair moisturized and protected. So if you’re someone who washes their hair every day, it’s time to switch things up.

Shower

This is especially bad in the winter when those oils are much needed. Try extending the time between your washes as much as possible.

You can also use dry shampoo because it opens up the hair shaft and brings life back to your hairstyle. It will also keep your hair smelling and looking fresh.

Use an oil treatment:

Restoring moisture with an oil-based hair treatment will be the best thing to do this winter.

Hair oil

Choose a lightweight leave-in formula with argan oil/ coconut oil to instantly remove dry, and damaged hair. Apply nourishing hair oil at the ends daily to help get back moisture and protect your hair.
