Why should you get a tablet? Is it useful?

8th January 2021
"Easy, Comfortable, Portable!"

Currently, deciding on whether to have a tablet or not? There are several reasons why you should do so. Tablets have great beauty, strength, portability and can be put to a lot of good uses, both in the home and out and about. But though they can come cheap (after all, cheaper than a laptop!), before taking the plunge, a tablet is always an investment worth worrying about.

Why get a tablet?

tablet

Portable and Light-weight

Tablets offer one straightforward plus, whether you enjoy having work done or being amused on the go: they're lightweight. Tablets are only around one-third the weight of a regular laptop, also there is a far less physical burden to hold a lightweight tablet.

Meanwhile, on a tablet, the average screen size is about 7-10 inches, which ensures that most backpacks, carrying bags, or briefcases suit well.

For teenagers, tourists, travelers, and people who have to fly a lot for work, this makes tablets a fantastic advantage.

Anywhere, you will get networking.

The best thing about a tablet is that you can get the Internet anytime if you have the stuff to do online and your computer can't take it. That is, as long as you have a tablet that is 4G. No lugging through cafes and libraries searching for free WiFi for your laptop. Only power up and get yourself online.

For practitioners, this makes tablets particularly useful. A tablet will help you get things done quickly everywhere if you need to scan emails, edit documents on the server, or simply keep up to date with the latest news on your business.

More affordable

It seems like having a home computer is mandatory these days. But really, if you're just using your laptop for some email, Facebook, and Netflix for light web surfing, a tablet would do just as well. And tablets are way too cheap than a laptop.

Instant 'wake up'.

Generally, most notebook computers require about 10-30 seconds to start up. The initial start-up on a tablet, however, is usually about 2-10 seconds. When turned on, a tablet will automatically "wake" from sleep mode. Nothing makes you feel like you are living like a lightning-fast technology on the cutting edge.

Kids Friendly

If your children are looking for their own device or smartphone to play games, watch TV, and just browse the web in general without having to line up for your laptop, the solution may be a tablet.

Tablet costs start low, which means you have plenty of budget options if you only want to give your children something easy or are afraid that they can ruin it (hey, it happens). And if you have one without 4G access, you can give your children a glimpse of the life of the smartphone without making them a computer that can be wired anywhere at all.

Which Gadget is Best Suitable for Online Education? Smartphone, Tablet or Laptop?

27th August 2020
"Smartphone, tablet or laptop ? Which one will you prefer for online learning?"

As the world is affected by the novel Coronavirus Pandemic, the teaching-learning process has shifted to online or digital approach. From elementary-level to university-level, all the classes are being conducted online throughout the world. Consequently, parents are concerned about the gadgets that could help their kids in digital learning.

People, generally, use a Smartphone, tablet or laptop for online education. Considering different factors like availability, health aspects, budget, screen, class-time, etc. the suitability of a gadget for online education differs from person to person and their age-group.

Here, we present you the device or gadget that could be efficient and suitable for you or your kids.

Smartphone

The gadget possessed by a lot of people i.e. Smartphone is handy, portable and easy to use. It is best suitable for short classes with possibly less or no slide shows or whiteboards because the screen is too small to read the content and can strain your eyes. Being handy, children can easily use it and surf the net for homework as well. The battery part may also be another disadvantage if you have longer classes. And, I personally feel that it’s difficult to do and submit homework and assignments in a Smartphone. But, if you have a limited budget, go with smartphones because something is better than nothing.

Tablet

Tablet, with a relatively large screen, is the best device for children. It won't strain the eyes as one can easily read the contents in a slide show or whiteboards. As it is easy to use, the children can join the classes on-their-own and can also surf the internet for their homework conveniently. There are several budget-friendly tablets as well which don’t lack much in functions and features. The battery aspect differs with the brand but will not cause many problems. Tablets are suitable for higher class students with a limited budget as well.

Laptop

Laptop, in my opinion, is the best gadget for online education. From attending classes to completing assignments and projects easily, it is the best device for students (from mid-school and above) and teachers. Varieties of functions, larger screen size and longer battery life are the major advantages of using a laptop for online education. However, the budget aspect can be a disadvantage as most of the good laptops are above $400 or Nrs. 40,000.

Online education, superficially, seems to be a great substitute for traditional education approach and also a step closer towards a digital world. But, it has its own consequences as well; Increase in screen-time leads to an increase in health risk as well. So, it’s better if you try to reduce the screen-time as much as possible.

6 Mistakes you make while buying a laptop

12th November 2020
"Don't make these mistakes and flourish!"

If one has to escape limitations and disappointments due to weak computing skills, purchasing laptops demands great care. Anyone may be vulnerable to the purchase of a laptop that scarcely serves the intended purpose. And several times, this scenario stems from the inability at the point of purchasing to consider important laptop purchasing tips.

Here are the 6 common mistakes people do while buying a laptop.

Overpaying or Not Paying enough

overpaying

Seeing a number of laptops and assuming that more costly inevitably means better can be enticing, but that is not always the case. Some costly notebooks may have expensive parts that you don't actually use so you end up unnecessarily paying over the odds.

There are two keys to stopping this: understanding what you need and set a budget to which you adhere. Create a list of the things you want to use it for before you can dig around for a laptop. It is almost as easy to consistently underpay for a device at the other end of the continuum and end up with something that is next to worthless. When what you thought was a steal turns out to be a genuine stinker, this could be particularly upsetting.

The importance of doing your homework is illustrated at this point.   If a laptop is on sale, review its pricing background.

Operating system

operating-system

There are several different computer operating systems (OS) out there-Windows, OS X, Linux, Chrome OS, to name a few and while they can appear only aesthetically distinct at first sight, it could not be further from the fact. Do not hope to excel if you change operating systems if you have an existing computer running one OS and wish to bring the os you have bought to a new computer. You would not even be able to locate a version of the program that would function on the latest OS on top of that.

Purchasing under-powered laptop

For every budget, this next error will happen-you spend thousands of dollars or pounds and then buy something that does not suit your needs. This is another case where it is key to do the homework.

For example, if you'd like a gaming laptop, read up on round-ups of the best gaming laptops and figure out what they have in general, and thus what you can search for when purchasing a laptop that suits your requirements.

Not reading feedbacks

reviews

When it comes to laptops, reading feedback is highly relevant, when there are so many items to remember. It . look fancy for a certain laptop, but is it firmly constructed? Does it do well in a variety of assignments? How long is his battery going to last? There are all major problems that laptop reviews typically discuss.

Read as many reviews as you can before taking the plunge, rather than depending on your intuition or the publicity blurb on the laptop's website.

That way, before handing over your cash, you can find out about any unexpected surprises, rather than learning the hard way about them yourself.

Considering brand and not functions

design-not-functions

Many of us have a handful of labels we trust and purchase from daily. That can also be rewarding but brings risks as well. After all, if a poor product is launched by your favorite laptop brand, blind allegiance can drive you to purchase it when you should actually explore alternatives.

Be sure you look at what competing producers are doing in order to ensure you do not slip into this pit. You might have had a poor experience with one of them in the past, but since then, things may have changed dramatically, and what is on offer might pleasantly surprise you.

Not considering the size of the laptop

laptop-size

Laptops come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, from minnows of 11 inches to behemoths of 17 inches and beyond. A big monster of a laptop weighing 10lbs is going to be wildly impractical if you are specifically searching for a slim and compact computer you can sling in a backpack on your journeys.

You do not fail to look at the physical footprint, as simple as it is to get swept away by all the components you can cram into a laptop.

Find out the dimensions of the one you want to order, and check to see how much space it will take up on your desk or whether it will fit in your bag. When the laptop comes, it will pay off.
