Some of you might not know the consequences of the wrong habits of charging your devices and mobile phones. Here is the list of different bad habits that you should avoid while charging your mobile phones.
1. Avoid frequent charges:
Frequent and unnecessary recharges shorten the lifespan of the battery. When you frequently charge your mobile, there will be a high chance of damage to the battery.
Remember, always allow the battery to discharge to around 20% before you plug it in.
2. Avoid leaving your Mobile overnight on charging:
Leaving your mobile on charge overnight means overcharging your battery and Overcharging is detrimental to battery health. So never leave your battery on charge the whole night.
3. Avoid changing the charger:
You should always ensure that the replacement charger's output voltage (V) and current (Ampere) rating matches the original adapter or is approved by the phone's manufacturer. Moreover, Always charge your phone with its own charger. Unlike laptops, smartphones use a universal charging interface the micro USB port.
However, if the charger you use does not match the original, it will affect battery performance, capacity to store charge, and overall life (if done repeatedly).
4. Avoid using your phone while charging:
We have seen many people using their phones while it’s on charge. This is a very risky thing you can do to yourself.
Using the device while it’s on a charge will increase the internal temperatures and shorten battery life which sometimes leads to unfortunate incidents as well.
5. Avoid unplugging your charger below 80%:
Whenever you charge, ensure that your battery reaches at least 80% charge. It is not necessary that it should always be topped up to the maximum. This will keep your battery healthy.
