Ford To Manufacture Mustang Mach-E In China For Local Customers

Ford announced today that Changan Ford will manufacture Mustang Mach-E for local customers, its first global pioneer SUV based on an all-new, all-electric platform in China.
Mustang Mach-E will set new standards for style and performance in the Chinese high-end EV market when it becomes available in China later this year.
Equipped with seamless technology
The Mustang Mach-E offers a smart cockpit for customer with the new Ford driver-assisting and infotainment technology, which will be enhanced over time by advanced firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates.
The latest generation of Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of advanced driver-assist technologies and SYNC+ intelligent infotainment system will feature L2+ automatic driving assistance to enable drivers from Mach-E to run their vehicles automatically on prequalified sections of divided highways.
In addition, by supporting all FOTA upgrades, including vehicle controls, the vehicle remains in the forefront of technology to enhance driving experiences with enhancements and new over-air features.
Ford is the first automobile manufacturer in China to offer cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology in mass production vehicles and will deploy C-V2X in Mach-E to help drivers in China anticipate potential driving hazards and improve traffic safety and efficiency.
Ford will deploy C-V2X in Mach-E, China, to assist China's drivers in anticipating the possible driving risk and improving traffic safety and performance. Ford is the first car manufacturer to include cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology in mass production vehicles.
“Electrifying” Performance
The Mustang Mach-E produced in China has an approximate body size of 4739mm*1881mm*1623mm, a 2984mm2 wheelbase and an estimated range of more than 600 km. Mustang Mach-E is a "electric pony" tuned using the Ford simulator for race, and is inherent in the legendary sportscar success of the Mustang family and gives this all-electric smart vehicle a driving pleasure.
Ford will also localize the production of the Mustang Mach-E GT performance version in China, an unprecedented move by a multinational automaker to produce high-performance editions locally.
A front and rear dual-motor configuration will be adopted by the GT high performance version, joining the 3-second club with its impressive 0-100km/h acceleration capabilities.
With the commitment of investmenting more than $11.5 billion in electric vehicle production through 2022, Ford is moving steadily in delivering its electrification pledge.
The localized production of Mach-E in China is a crucial move in the "Best of Ford, Best of China" strategy of the company to deliver industry-leading smart vehicles and advanced technologies to Chinese customers.
