Hyundai Santa Fe and Sonata wins as the most dependable Midsize SUV and most dependable Midsize Car in the 2022 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study in Fountain Valley, Calif., on Feb. 9. 2022.

 

Hyundai’s 2019 Santa Fe and Sonata were named the most dependable Midsize SUV and Midsize Car in the 2022 J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), which analyzes the long-term dependability of three-year-old models.

Released today, the annual VDS shows Santa Fe and Sonata ranked highest in their segments, beating out leading competitors in the 2019 model year. Hyundai improved from fourth to third place in the study’s mass-market nameplate rankings, while also finishing third overall among all brands.

The J.D. Power 2022 VDS, now in its 33^rd year, examines problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of 2019 model-year vehicles. VDS, redesigned for 2022, covers five different aspects to capture how well the vehicle is holding up at three years of ownership.

The Santa Fe is Hyundai’s best-selling SUV in the brand’s 36-year history in America and offers a family-oriented interior, practical cutting-edge technologies and bold exterior looks.

Hyundai has finally revealed its first lifestyle pickup truck, Santa Cruz.

The Santa Cruz is the pickup version of the next-generation Hyundai Tucson, which makes it one of the few pick-up trucks to be built around monocoque architecture.

The base engine option in the Santa Cruz is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder, expected to make 190 PS and 245 Nm.

The engine pairs with an 8-speed torque converter while the turbo gets an 8-speed DCT. 

The load bay is 1323 mm long which features a lockable storage area, integrated steps in the rear bumper, and a lockable cover. 

Equipped with an eight-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, plus you can also opt for a digital instrument cluster.

The Santa Cruz comes with multiple airbags, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.

Also, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, a blind spot camera, safe exit assist, surround-view monitor are also available as an optional package.
