Motorola Razr: The Next Foldable Smartphone

12th August 2020
"Getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again."

Motorola just gave us a date to slap on the calendar. On September 9, the Chicago-based phone maker will reveal something new in an event they’ve described as “getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again.”

Since they already released one flip phone this year in the Razr, this tease has me leaning towards their being another Razr model in the works, possibly with 5G.

At least one rumor has already suggested as much, along with upgrades in specs to a Snapdragon 765, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 2845mAh battery, 48MP rear camera, and 20MP selfie shooter. Not that the original Motorola Razr had the worst specs on the planet, but these are certainly improvements to a phone we didn’t have nice things to say about.

The event on September 9 will be virtual, as are all events these days. Stay close to the site that day for coverage of whatever it is.

Disclaimer: Motorola Razr is not a Powerhouse device. Motorola is not for phone that has great specs which will replace your other devices with this phone. Instead Motorola is trying to shrink the phone to something smaller, and that requires less heat and less power consumption. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of interna storage. 2,510mAh battery resides inside the device juicing up all the hardwares. Razr runs on a clean build of Android 9.0 and with less powerful hardware promises one full day of use in single charge.

"Samsung was the only device to come with stylus support but now Motorola has launched Moto G Stylus and as the name suggests this phone comes with stylus support."

Phone supporting stylus by Motorola has been in talks for a while now. Previously Note series from Samsung was the only device to come with stylus support but now Motorola has launched its new product the Moto G Stylus and as the name suggests this phone comes with stylus support.

Moto G Stylus Overview

Motorola has launched the phone under the mid-range segment and is planning to go toe-to-toe with the Samsung Note series. Even though it lacks many of the features that the Note series have, it is sure that Motorola is going against the monopoly with the device.

Talking about the Moto G Stylus, it comes with the stylus which lacks features like ressure sensitivity and Bluetooth connection but is more than enough to write down notes, sketch, and doodle using the Moto Note app.
