According to a statement released today, the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) strongly opposes the decision of the government to require taxpayers to pay their tax obligations by Baisakh 25, 2078 B.S. (May 8, 2021).

The Inland Revenue Department, which issued a public notice requesting entrepreneurs and businessmen to file their tax returns and tax payments as soon as possible, has received strong opposition from the business community, including the automobile industry.

Because the government has imposed a curfew in the capital for the general public's safety in light of the growing number of new variants, entrepreneurs are unable to submit tax and other duties to the Inland Revenue Department.

A similar request has originated from the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association for dealers to supply oxygen cylinders to the oxygen manufacturing industries on their premises.

Tata is planning to launch Harrier in the NADA Auto Expo 2019. Tata Harrier has been one of the most loved SUV in India and with the same expectations, they are launching it here. The Harrier SUV is an ultimate SUV as they have already expert in this segment with Sierra and Safari.

The main attraction for Tata Harrier is the high-mounted grille and the strips of LED lighting positioned at the base of the bonnet. The DRLs comes in all variants but the LED bulbs are only available in the top-end model.

One of the big highlights is the prominent, three-dimesional ‘humanity line’ front grille which shows us the company’s newest approach to vehicle design- the ‘Impact 2.0’.

 

 

The Harrier is powered by a 2 liter, 4 cylinder diesel engine. There's no petroleum on offer. The engine comes from Fiat's four-chamber Multijet II diesel unit that powers the Jeep Compass. This one produces 138 bhp and that is sufficient to drive a vehicle which tips the scales at near 1700 kilos. The 350 nm of torque kicks into this turbocharged unit at pretty much 1800 rpm and the low-end torque gives a direct power conveyance. It has a solid mid-range as well. There's just a 6 speed manual on offer and there's no programmed until further notice. The gear shifts effortlessly, however, it requires a touch of exertion to space them set up. Development from 2 to third and back is the place you feel a touch of twitch. The grip is decent and light, however, the movement is a considerable amount and not incredible in rush hour gridlock conditions.

Suzuki Gixxer 250

After the epic success of other models of the gixxer, they are launching this powerpact 249cc powered bike in the NADA Autoshow which will be priced approximately around 4,50,000 NRS.

 

Suzuki Gixxer 150

A new version of Suzuki Gixxer will be launched which will be powered by 155cc engine which produces 14.1 PS power and 14 NM torque. The tank capacity will be of 12 litres.

 

 

Yamaha MT 15

This jetbot like unique motorcycle from Yamaha will be an exciting attraction for the NADA Auto Show. The 155cc powered engine bike is priced at 4,40,000 NRS.

 

GPX Demon 150 GN

The Thai company GPX is debuting its bike in the NADA Auto Show with GPX Demon 150 GN which is a 150cc bike that is priced at 3,96,700 NRS.

 

GPX Legend 200

The Thai company GPX is debuting its bike in the NADA Auto Show with another bike named Legend 200 which is a 200 cc bike priced at 4,66,700 NRS.

 

GPX Gentleman 200

The Thai company GPX is debuting its bike in the NADA Auto Show with another bike named Gentleman 200 which is also a 200cc bike having 12 litre tank capacity priced at 5,86,700 NRS.

 

Runner Hawk (Off road Version)

This 200cc powered bike from Runner is priced at 3,99,000 NRS making it one of the cheapest bike in the dirt bike segment. The exclusive discount of around 20,000 will be done in the Auto Expo.

 

KTM Duke 125

The Austrian Company is ready to launch a 125cc KTM Duke after the success of its other variants. The bike is priced at 4,50,000 NRS with the style of the KTM Duke 200. The top speed of the bike is 120 km/hr.

Super Soco TS

This electric bike from Super Soco would be an attraction in the Auto Expo. Priced at 2,49,000 NRS, this electric bike will run upto the range of 80 km with one full charge.

 

Super Soco TC

This electric bike from Super Soco would be an attraction in the Auto Expo. Priced at 2,74,000 NRS, there are two options for this electric bike, one will run upto the range of 80 km with one full charge and the other will run upto 160 km with one full charge.

Hyundai Venue is also getting showcased at the NADA Auto Expo this year as it is one of the most loved SUV abroad. They expect the same love and loyalty from the Nepalese customers.

Mahindra KUV 100 EV

This electric vehicle will be showcased in the NADA Auto Expo. The car has 40 KW Power that can be charged within 5 hours 45 minutes and goes to the range of 120 km in one full charge.

 

KIA Niro

This electric SUV priced at 66,90,000 NRS gives the range of 480 km in one full charge.

 

Hyundai Kona

This electric SUV priced at 55,96,000 NRS gives the range of 350 km in one full charge.

 

Tata Tigor EV

Tata is showcasing their electric version of Tigor in this Auto Expo. It provides the range of 130 km in 1 full charge and it takes only 3 hours to charge completely.

 

BYD M3

This electric car manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer is priced approximately at 45 lakhs. It gives the range of 350 km in one full charge.

Dahe 350 Electric

NADA has requested to extend the deadline for renewal of excise code till mid-October. Krishna Prasad Dulal, president of the NADA Association, executive member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and vice-chairman of the revenue committee, met Director General of the Customs Department Suman Dahal and requested him to extend the deadline for renewal of the excise code till mid-October.

According to NADA, 30,000 commercial companies are registered in the ExIm Code in Nepal. There is a situation where the bandh is maintained, vehicles are operating on the road in odd-even basis and the Supreme Court has declared zero hours. There are only 1,500 renewing companies. In this regard, NADA has requested to extend the renewal period as the companies are not able to renew within the stipulated time. If the renewal period is extended, NADA expects that it will be very comfortable for the entrepreneurs in such a complicated and difficult situation. The deadline for renewing the excise code is only till mid-August.

Dulal, executive member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Vice President of Employers' Committee Bharatraj Acharya, NADA Association Secretary Surendra Pradhan and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry official Lokraj Joshi were also present at the discussion.
