Smartphone brand POCO launched two new devices in Nepal today- POCO M2 and POCO C3. This is the second time that the brand has introduced products in Nepal, with the launch of POCO F1 earlier in 2018.

POCO two-tone design, POCO C3 comes with a balanced set of the internals to make for a smartphone that’s a perfect fit for users in the category. POCO C3 also becomes the most affordable triple-camera phone in the market while at it. POCO C3 comes with an AI Triple Camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. While the depth sensor helps achieve some crisp portraits with creamy bokeh, the macro sensor allows some fun close-up shots along with the capability to shoot macro video in 720p.

With a 5000 mAh Better Battery 2.0 technology, users can expect extended longevity. POCO C3 is powered by the MediaTek® Helio™ G35 8-core processor with Cortex-A53 cores clocked up to 2.3GHz. Along with the massive 5000mAh high-capacity battery, POCO C3 strikes a balance between performance and efficiency. 

On POCO C3, users will be able to enjoy a 6.53” HD+ display, with a resolution of 1600 × 720 and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Protecting the entire body of POCO C3 is P2i’s nano-coating, which makes the smartphone resistant to accidental splashes. Additionally, the display is reading mode certified by TÜV Rheinland, meaning there will be reduced stress on the eyes when using the phone for long durations.

Samsung has launched a new budget-oriented Galaxy M-series phone called the Samsung Galaxy M21. The Galaxy M21 is the successor to Samsung Galaxy M20 and will be available in two configurations, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

The 4GB/64GB Samsung Galaxy M21 price in India is INR 12,999. The Samsung M21 price in India for the high-end 6GB/128GB model hasn’t been revealed yet.

Speaking of samsung M21 specs, the Galaxy M21 has a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ or 1080p+ Super AMOLED display with Samsung’s Infinity-U waterdrop-style notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9611 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage which is further expandable by up to 512GB via micro-SD card. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 10-based One UI 2.0 software and is backed by a sizeable 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging via USB Type-C.

On to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M21 comes with three cameras on the back. There’s a 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide-angle with 123-degree field-of-view, and another 5MP depth camera for bokeh shots. On the front, the Galaxy M21 has a 20MP camera.

Huawei has recently launched three smartphones in Nepal along with Huawei Y8p. Huawei Y8p is expensive and most advanced of all. Huawei Y8p has an OLED display and a 48MP SuperSpectrum sensor. Let's get to know more about the phone. 

Huawei Y8p Overview

Design and Display

As Huawei focuses on its design, the design and build of Huawei Y8p are quite premium-like. It has 3D curved edges and the rear panel shows what Huawei calls the 'light and shadow' design. The design of the phone is quite similar to Oppo F15. At the front, it has a waterdrop notch at the top center that houses the selfie camera.

Huawei Y8p has a display of 6.3 inches OLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.17%. As it has an OLED display, the fingerprint scanner is under the display. 

Camera

Huawei Y8p comprises of a triple camera setup like the Y6p. It has a 48MP primary sensor with a SuperSpectrum sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera is arranged inside the elongated pill-shaped module. The LED flash is located below the cameras. As for the selfie camera, the phone has a 16MP selfie camera at the top front.

Performance and Battery

Huawei Y8p runs on Android 10 and is powered by Kirin 710F. Compared to other mid-range smartphones that are often powered with MediaTek helio G90T and Soc 720G, Huawei is still stuck with Kirin whose performance is not much good as other competitors. The phone is available in two variants i.e. 4GB RAM/128GB, and 6GB RAM/ 128GB. With Huawei's own NM SD card, you can expand the memory to 256GB.

As for the battery, Huawei Y8p has a 4000mAh battery along with 10W charging support. However, if you buy this smartphone, you will have to live without the play store and Google Play Services that are replaced by Huawei Appgallery and Huawei Mobile Services respectively.
