M.A.W has been importing Škoda Vehicles in Nepal since 2008.  
 

With the plan to further expand its foothold in the Nepali Market and to make European vehicles widely available all across Nepal, it has been consistently expanding its dealer network under its authorized dealership plans.

The Showroom and Workshop are jointly inaugurated by Raunak Agarwal, Executive Director of M.A.W. enterprise -Skoda Division, and Ajay Shahi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of provision 5.

“We are relentlessly committed to rapidly expanding as well as developing our network and providing easy accessibility of top-notch European cars to our customers in Nepal. Keeping in line with our core mission of enhancing customer experience, we are delighted to have successfully opened this state-of-the-art Škoda Showroom and workshop in Butwal that hosts an array of our European cars. During the inauguration ceremony, Raunak Aggarwal and Ajay Shahi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Provision 5 also handed over the keys to Skoda cars to the customer of Butwal who had booked their Skoda cars.

Currently, Skoda has its Dealer Network in Pokhara, Naryanghat, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Birtamode, Janakpur, Dhangadi, and Kathmandu.

Skoda Slavia is set to replace the Rapid, which is unlikely to make a comeback with a facelift.

Skoda unveiled the Slavia sedan earlier in November. Skoda has confirmed that the launch of its new sedan Slavia will take place in March next year.

Slavia will add to Skoda's premium sedan line-up which also includes Octavia and Superb.

Skoda Slavia stands 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width, and 1,487 mm in height. Compared to the Skoda Rapid, all-new Slavia comes 128 mm longer, 53 mm wider, and 21 mm taller.

Skoda Slavia also has a 99 mm longer wheelbase than Rapid and offers more cabin space.

It is also bigger than the first-generation Octavia.

Skoda will offer a choice of a 1.0-liter TSI petrol and a 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine for Slavia. The smaller three-cylinder petrol engine is capable of churning out 113 bhp of power and 175 Nm of torque. It comes available with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox options.

The larger 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine generates 150 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. It comes available with a six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox options.

The Skoda Slavia will be packed with six airbags, ISOFIX, TPMS, Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, ESC among others.

It will take on Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz among others in the midsize sedan segment when launched.

Skoda Slavia's price is expected to range between INR 10 lakh and INR 17 lakh.
