Five home decorating DIY tips

6th December 2021
"Knowing some solid DIY home décor tricks are key for those of us living on limited budgets who still want to love our home decorating."

Feeling like our homes are "ours" is super important, but not all of us have the money to decorate our houses and apartments like the perfectly designed spaces we see in catalogs.

It's why knowing some solid DIY home décor tricks is key for those of us living on limited budgets who still want to totally love our home decorating.

Create a Gallery Wall with Cheap Frames

Gallery walls have become very popular over the last few years. The great thing about them is that pretty much every single one of them is different.

Just gather picture frames in various shapes and sizes and arrange art and personal photos on one central wall space.

And don't be afraid to paint your frames if you want them to match.

Use Mirrors

In a piece for Real Simple using mirrors is an incredibly simple decorating tool.

And putting a small table up against a mirror, and then placing a plant with big branches or flowers on the table on the mirror side is a great DIY hack.

This will instantly make the plant look twice as large and will also help open up a small room by creating the illusion of a larger space.

Stick-On Wall Paper for a Super Cool Accent Wall

Stick-on wallpaper is an amazingly cheap alternative to traditional wallpaper and gives you a ton more pattern variety than simply painting.

You can find stick-on wallpaper in retro floral, faux hardwood, or even brick.

Use a Cool Tray for Random Objects

This is simple DIY. Just use a thrift-store or vintage tray as an accent piece for any tables in your home.

You can use it to either hold other decorations, like a small vase of flowers or candles or just as a place for odds and ends, like keys and remote controls.

And if you're really ambitious, you can decorate it with stencils of your choosing.

Use Plants and Dried Flowers

Flowers are just about the simplest way possible to decorate your space and breathe some fresh life into it.

We can use old mason jars or wine bottles or store-bought vases for the decoration. It just adds that extra little something.

And for an added touch, you can spray your jars or vases with paints.

"We have seen different accidents occurring in the country. Do you know the reason behind this?"

We have seen different accidents occurring in the country. Do you know the reason behind this?

Here are some common causes of car accidents that happen in  Nepal and also the prevention that you can take to avoid these common car accidents.

Drunk Driving

Its common knowledge that when you drink you lose the ability to focus and function properly. So drinking and driving can seriously be dangerous. Moreover, this is extremely dangerous when operating a vehicle.

Drink and Drive

Even though drunk drivers can be prevented, they continue to cause crashes every day. If you go out and plan to drink always use a designated driver or a ride service.

Bad weather

Weather conditions are a major factor in car accidents. Among them, rain is one of the most common causes no matter where you live and it’s important to pay extra attention and be cautious.

Bad weather

Moreover, rain creates slick and dangerous surfaces for cars, trucks, and motorcycles and often causes automobiles to spin out of control or skid while braking. To avoid a car accident, you need to be extra careful when it rains.

Night Driving

Driving during the day can be dangerous, but driving at night can double your chances of an accident. When you can’t see what is ahead, you don’t know what to anticipate as you drive towards it. As the sun goes down, your awareness of the road and cars around you must go up.

Night Traffic

The risk of a fatal crash is three times higher at night than in the day for every mile driven. So, it’s better to avoid nighttime driving until you're comfortable driving during the day.

Improper Turns

Improper turns are the major cause of accidents in Nepal. The reason that we have stoplights, turn signals, and lanes designated for moving either right or left as opposed to straight is to guide drivers. When drivers ignore these guides, car accidents are often the result.

Road turn

To prevent a car accident, always look for signs and obey the proper right-of-way before you make a turn.

Animal Crossings

Another major cause of road accidents in Nepal is animal crossing as we have many roads in between the national parks.

Road cross

We all know, animals do not know the rules of the road and will cross as they see fit. So it’s your responsibility to take caution when you see an animal crossing sign and use your high beams when traveling in rural, and woody areas.
