Nepal's First Ever Word Puzzle Game 'Sabda Khoj'- Available in Play Store

Nepal’s first-ever word puzzle game ‘Sabda Khoj’ is now available in Google Play Store.  The game, developed by Navush Tech, is the new and first of its type of word game. The company believes ‘Sabda Khoj’ to be a revolution in the Nepalese history of games.

It is a game that comprises of levels and chapters. Each chapter consists of small and easiest words to long and complex words. The chapters are as 1 to 10, 11 to 20, 21 to 30, etc. where the levels such as 1, 11, 21, etc. are the easier level and the levels such as 10, 20, 30, etc. are the difficult levels. Like any other game, as the level increases, difficulties for level completion also rise. 

The game, as per the Navush Tech, is developed for entertainment purposes along with enriching the player’s Nepali vocabulary, intellectual development, and promotion of the Nepali language as well. Click here to download the app and enjoy the Nepalese word puzzles.

NRB directs remittance service providing companies for providing easy service during lock down

"Nepali citizens in abroad employment can be withdrawn easily in the situation of lockdown."

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed the remittance service providing companies to make arrangements so that the remittance send by the Nepali citizens in abroad employment can be withdrawn easily in the situation of lockdown.

The central bank has also directed the remittance service providing companies to open their counter for paying the money remitted by Nepalis on foreign employment to their families.

Lockdown has been imposed since Thursday in various places of the country including in Kathmandu Valley following the increased risk of coronavirus pandemic.

NRB stated in a press release today that the remittance service provider firms have been urged to make these arrangements in view of the difficulty faced by the families of those Nepalis who are in abroad employment as they cannot easily access the remittances due to the lockdown. 

It also urged these companies to open their counter and provide the remittance-related financial services throughout the lockdown period by adopting all the health safety process with the presence of a minimum of staff by coordinating with local administration.

Likewise, the central bank has urged all to carry out the remittance fund transfer and foreign currency exchange in coordination with the bank and financial institutions as well as to make the transactions electronically as far as possible by fully keeping to the health safety protocol.

Nepalese have also been keen towards this application; recently, the usage of tiktok has increased by 25% in nepal and alongside several difficulties have also risen.

While users of other internet service providers are facing problems using the Tiktok app, the users of ClassicTech, as claimed by Classic Tech, are conveniently using the application without any technical difficulty or hindrance, even during the peak hours.

Classic Tech has collaborated with Akamai to connect the content bandwidth of tiktok in order to facilitate easy services to their customers. Its server can handle twice the traffic it has currently with ease.

Classic Tech believes that its technical team that works 24 hours will handle any kind of problems without causing inconvenience to the users. Also, they claim that the customers have never had any problem using tiktok before and still don't have any problem.

Limitations for Digital Transactions set by NRB: Maximum of Rs 25000 set for per transactions in e-Wallets

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set some limitations for digital transactions through the integrated directive on the payment system.  The limitations on digital transactions via e-wallets, mobile/ internet banking, and cards have been set.

Limitations for e-Wallets

As per the new arrangements, fund transfer limits for e-wallets have been set as:

NRB stated that no limit will be imposed while transferring money from an e-wallet to one's own account. In addition, the payment service provider will not be allowed to charge any fee to the customer for the transactions made through point of sale (POS) machine from the merchants of department stores, hotels, shops, etc.

Limitations for Mobile and Internet Banking

As per the new arrangements, limitations for transactions via Mobile and Internet Banking have been set as:

However, no limit will be imposed on various types of payments such as taxes, revenue, fines, vehicle fees, registration, and service fees to be paid at the concerned office of the Government of Nepal.  Also, no limit will be imposed on the payment of electricity service, telecommunication service, drinking water service, insurance premium, and social security allowance; bill payment for educational institutions, health institutions, air services, transport services, hotels, and restaurants.

Limitations for Card Payments

The limitations set as per the new arrangements for transactions via cards have been set as:

The credit cards, generally, cannot be used for cash transactions; but, in case of emergency, the customer is allowed to withdraw up to 10% of the amount of credit card. Prepaid cards can be issued by banks and financial institutions up to a maximum of Rs 100,000 and by payment service providers up to a maximum of Rs 25,000.
