Things you need to do after recovering from coronavirus

Most people desire to return to their usual life after healing from the COVID-19 infection. While some people remain cautious and follow all COVID guidelines, others tend to relax their guard.

This puts the person at risk of catching COVID again or suffering other COVID-related issues.

Give yourself some time

For starters, don't expect to return to your previous life or test negative for the disease as soon as you return home.

As a result, give yourself some time to gradually return to your old routine, one day at a time.

Remember, you've just recovered from a life-threatening illness, and it's better to ease back into your old activities rather than dive right in.

Regular Exercise

Exercising can be difficult when you're recovering and your body is weak, but gradually implementing it into your daily routine will improve your physical and mental health.

You can do light exercises by simply moving your hands and feet, going for a light walk, or trying indoor jogging. You can also do some breathing exercises.

Have a nutritious eating routine

Another important practice is to maintain a nutrient- and supplement-rich eating routine to help in recovery.

Coronavirus exposes the body to a great deal of stress, and the medications used to treat it can also be severe.

To compensate for the loss of appetite, follow a well-organized eating regimen rich in organic products, vegetables, eggs, and safe poultry.

Make an effort to eat cooked foods that are easy for the body to process. Try not to overwork yourself or eat unhealthy foods.

Pay attention to any alarming signals

Whether it's a nagging headache or a bout of exhaustion, it's critical to pay attention to any signs that your body isn't happy with the post-COVID situation.

If any of these issues arise during the post-recovery period, keep in touch with your regular doctor.

Make room for others in your recovery

Recognize that once you're COVID-negative, you'll need to rest to feel like yourself again.

Recognize that your body requires enough time to recover, whether you are shopping for food or preparing it.

As a result, accepting help or involving someone close to you while on your recovery path is beneficial to you.

HOW TO STAY SAFE WHEN TRAVELLING BY CAR DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

23rd March 2020
"Disinfect all the surfaces you touch before and after the journey, especially if you’re sharing the car with someone or gave someone a lift."

The whole world is affected by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) global pandemic. The simplest advice on how to stay safe is to stay home.

But what if you have to go somewhere by car? Follow this advice

The main rule is to minimise contact with others. But if a journey has to be made, protect yourself. “Ideally don’t go anywhere. If you have to go somewhere, go alone – don’t share the car with anyone. If you have to go with someone, make sure that the person does not have acute symptoms of respiratory illness. Use a respirator or at least a facemask. Make sure you have the contact details of all the other passengers so that you can track them down if you find out you’re infected,”

How to Disinfect CoronaVirus in Car?

If you can’t avoid coming into contact with others and going somewhere by car, pay thorough attention to preventive hygiene measures. “Disinfect all the surfaces you touch before and after the journey, especially if you’re sharing the car with someone or gave someone a lift,”

Parts of the interior you should disinfect

  • Steering Wheel
  • Gearstick
  • Handbrake
  • Door Handles
  • Touch Screen
  • Steering Column Stalks (Indicators, Wipers, Cruise Control)
  • Elbow Rests
  • Seat Position Controls
  • Door Frame

The best thing to use to disinfect the car interior is isopropyl alcohol and a micro-fiber cloth

Take this cleaning very seriously: disinfecting the steering wheel, gearstick, handbrake, door handles, radio and infotainment controls would occur to everyone, but don’t forget the stalks on the steering column (indicators and windscreen wipers, cruise control), elbow rests, seat position controls, door frames and exterior door handles or luggage compartment handle. These principles are even more important for taxi drivers and other drivers who transport passengers.

What should you use to disinfect the car?

The Consumer Reports organisation, for example, advises using some of the cleaning products you already have at home. At least seventy percent alcohol solution is effective against coronavirus, and isopropyl alcohol won’t do the main surfaces in your car any harm. In fact, it’s what carmakers and their subcontractors use to disinfect parts. To increase your peace of mind, Consumer Reports says you can use alcohol to wipe down the seat upholstery and other soft surfaces in the car. But be careful not to soak them through.

Alcohol should not damage either leather or imitation leather upholstery, but excessively intensive cleaning with alcohol can discolour the material: so don’t scrub the seats and other leather surfaces too hard. After cleaning, though, leather surfaces in the car should be treated with leather protection products.

Parts of the exterior you should disinfect

  • Door Handles
  • Door Frame
  • Luggage Compartment Handle

Also, disinfect any parts of the exterior you touch-mainly the exterior door handles or luggage compartment handle. These principles are most important for taxi drivers and other drivers who transport passengers.

Facemasks protect others

Especially if you are traveling with passengers and one of them is at risk of having come into contact with an infected person, use protective gear, meaning facemasks and respirators. A classic fabric facemask won’t protect the wearer against the virus, but it can significantly reduce the risk of the wearer infecting others. So even a basic facemask is a sign of consideration towards the others in the car and can reduce the risk of infection.

Tips for post-viral fatigue after COVID-19

30th January 2022
"As we become worn down dealing with the growing COVID-19 pandemic, COVID fatigue is becoming a genuine issue for many people."

As we become worn down dealing with the growing COVID-19 pandemic, COVID fatigue is becoming a genuine issue for many people.

Here are some suggestions for dealing with COVID fatigue:

Exercise

Exercise is the most effective way to deal with COVID-19. Even a short walk can be beneficial. Exercise releases endorphins, which help us feel better by reducing stress and increasing happiness.

When frustration builds up, exercise helps to release adrenaline. If the air quality outside is poor, try a yoga or workout video from the comfort of your own home.

Engage in constructive thinking

Compassionate for oneself and others is essential. Feelings are a result of our perceptions of the circumstance, and while we can't alter the situation, we can change how we think about it. "I'm doing the best I can," remind yourself.

Let yourself laugh

Laughter has a beneficial bodily effect. Laughter can cause physical changes in the body and can even improve your general health in the long run.

Put on your favorite comedy or read the comics in the newspaper if all else fails.

Practice mindfulness and gratitude

Try being present in the moment, breathing deeply, and appreciating what you have. The more you do it, the less difficult it becomes.

We make a lot of unnecessary pain for ourselves by projecting into the future or brooding on the past. For the time being, just take each day as it comes.

Talk about your frustrations

Finding someone to talk to about your frustrations and fears, whether it's a family member, a friend, or a professional, is highly beneficial.

Ignoring feelings or emotions will not make them go away; ultimately, they will all explode, and you will lose control.
