Basic Tips For the Maintenance Of Electric Cars

3rd November 2021
"Here are some basic tips that you can keep in your mind for the maintenance of your electric cars"

It's easier for us to maintain electric cars as they usually require less maintenance. Here are some basic tips that you can keep in your mind for the maintenance of your electric cars:

Take Care of the Motor and the Battery

One of the essential elements of maintenance on electric cars is motor and battery which doesn’t need regular maintenance. Also, an electric car’s motor doesn’t need the same level of maintenance that a traditional combustion engine would.

Battery

Moreover, the advanced batteries used in these vehicles have a limited number of charging cycles (the number of times the battery can be charged and discharged, also called "cycle life").

Check with the dealer about battery life and warranties and consider the manufacturer's battery recycling policy. Some automotive battery systems use liquid coolant to maintain safe operating temperatures. These systems may require regular checks.

Avoid Overcharging of the battery:

Overcharging

Overcharging can cause serious problems so always aim to charge the car’s battery to only about 80%. Moreover, don’t leave your car with a small amount of charge for more than two weeks at a time.

Brake Maintenance:

Regenerative braking helps you to keep your brake pads in good working order for as long as is possible. In some cases, you may have to replace them up to two times less frequently than on a traditional vehicle.

Park in the right place:

The thermal management system will respond to the heat and will keep running in the sun. Additionally, you also run the risk of having your battery overheat if you park in a hot spot for a long time. So the best thing that you can do to extend the overall life of your battery is to park your car in the shade when possible.

Basic Maintenance Rule:

Always check when was your tire was last rotated and always make sure that your vehicle has enough coolant to keep everything in good working order, replace your car’s wiper blades about twice a year, and replace the car’s wiper fluid as often as you would with a conventional vehicle.

5 Tips on maintaining your Air Purifier

1st November 2020
"Take care of the air purifier that eliminates the pollutants from your room."

The sole purpose of an air purifier is to clean the pollutants from your room and maintain a healthy pollutant and bacteria-free environment. But it will not be able to function and serve its purpose if it itself is not properly maintained. The steps and process of maintaining and taking care of an air purifier differ with its types. Nevertheless, here are few things you should take into consideration for a long-lasting air purifier.

Place in an open area

You buy an air purifier to clean the room and its atmosphere. But will it be fair if contrasting to its purpose, you place it in a congested place? It may clean that particular area, but the rest of the room may still be filled with pollutants. Moreover, if you place an air purifier in a corner-blocked by your furniture, the air purifier won't be able to serve its purpose. So, place the purifier in an open space from where it can easily suck the pollutants and make your room air clean. Also, make sure to place it in a clean area or clean the area continuous to avoid any inefficiency.

Check filter indicator

Make sure to check the filter indicator timely. Also, check the permanent filters and their situation timely to ensure your air purifier is working effectively.

Turn off the air purifier

It is mandatory for the protection and preservation of every electronic, turn off the equipment before unplugging it from the socket to avoid any form of circuit damage. Prior to the cleaning process, turn the air purifier off from the socket. And before that, make sure you turn off the air purifier before unplugging it. And also, do not place anything above the air purifier.

Cleaning insides and filter

Pre-filters are washable, so you can easily wash the dirt off the pre-filters. Also, do it regularly to secure sanitized filters. And if it is a HEPA or carbon filter, do not wash it and never ever vacuum the filters. If filters are dirty and filled with bacteria, then what good will they do to the air around us? So, cleaning the filters is essential. Also, clean the insides of the air purifier with a dry cloth. Avoid any form of dampness or water inside the air purifier. As for the outer parts, you can clean it with damp clothes.

Cleaning permanent filters

Permanent filters are the most essential part of your air purifier. They cannot be changed if they stop working or get damaged; thereupon, make sure to check the permanent filters and its condition every 2 weeks and clean it every 3 months to avoid early obsolescence.
