Civil Bank, under its social responsibility program is has handed over a cash donation to Surendra Dhakal Foundation, in an event, for the upliftment of community schools.

Deputy Chief Executive of Civil Bank Sunil Kumar Pokhrel had handed over the donation to the chairman of the foundation, Surendra Dhakal.

Operating with the slogan; "Civil Bank for Prosperity", Civil Bank is currently serving more than 5 lakhs customers through

114 branches, 8 extension counters, 89 ATMs all across the country and it has more than 82 billion operational funds and 72 billion operational loans.

After getting permission to conduct banking service as class ‘A’ bank from Nepal Rastra Bank in 2067 Manshir 10,  Civil bank Ltd has completed its 10thyear of service and entered to11th year today.  With the strong belief that if every citizen behaves responsibly towards the society we can create an ideal society, on an occasion of anniversary civil bank has conducted various corporate social responsibility activities responsibly keeping the consideration of worldwide spread of Covid, with the slogan “I am a responsible civilian”.

Socially responsible activities:
 

•    Assurance of plasma  donation by the employees who were infected and healed by covid-19 for corona treatment
•    In Coordination with Hamro Team Nepal, Bank has promised to sponsor  10 FREE meals for the people who have lost their job due to covid in Tundhikhel.
•    Bank has handover rice sufficient for 3 months to the chairperson of Matathirtha old-age care home, Hari Khadka.
Ceo Gobind Gurung presented the achievements of Civil Bank in the last 10 years on the Webinar conducted on the occasion of the 10th year anniversary of the bank, as well as chairperson of BOD Er. Icchya Raj Tamang presented gratitude to all customers, executive department, media person, shareholders, and all the stakeholders for all the achievement the bank have achieved in the last one decade.

Civil Bank that operates with the slogan “Civil Bank for Prosperity” celebrated a week-long ‘Global Money Week’ with various financial awareness programs from March 22 to 28.

The bank observed the 7 days of Global Money Week by organizing business-themed awareness events and workshops in 7 regions of Nepal chronologically.

The bank organized financial awareness programs in Orchid College, Biratnagar of region 1,  Janakpur of region 2, Dhulikhel and Banepa of Bagmati region, amongst the boaters of Begnas lake area of Gandaki region, Butwal, Manigram, Tulsipur of Lumbini region, Surkhet, Birendranagar of Karnali and Dhangadi, Janaki, Aadharsh, Bannigadh, Lamkichuha and Bajhnia of Sudurpaschim region.

Similarly to honor the global money week bank initiated QR code payment systems in Tempos of Birtamod and Hetauda of region 1 and Bagmati region respectively and for retailers from Janakpur of region 2.

The bank also demonstrated visual educational materials regarding 7 major electronic payment mediums i. e. mobile apps, QR Code, ATM, Internet Banking, Connect IPS, P.O.S., and digital wallet, through social media.

Civil Bank and iSON has signed an official agreement with iSON for cooperation with each other.

The agreement was signed by Bhola Bahadur Bista, Deposit and Transaction Banking head from the bank and Arati Shrestha, Business Development Manager from iSON.

The agreement was signed by the bank to provide special health coverage to their customers and employees at different hospitals associated with iSON in seven countries.

According to the agreement, customers, employees, and their family members of Civil Bank will now receive a 7 % discount for the first treatment and an additional 5 % discount for the second treatment at 64 hospitals associated with iSON in 7 countries.
