Things to Consider while Buying a Cupboard/Wardrobe

9th December 2021
"Organizing around the house is easier with properly selected wardrobes/cupboards."

Organizing around the house is easier with properly selected wardrobes/cupboards. No wonder wardrobes are such a vital part of our bedroom design – after all, they solve all our storage problems.

There are certain things you need to consider before choosing the right cupboard for you:

Size

Measure the room from one corner to the other. Ideally, keep the longest wall in your bedroom for your cupboard. This will ensure that the cupboard design fits in with the look of your bedroom without dominating the space.

Storage

Storage is important. Always ask yourself how much storage you need – if you are a shopaholic, chances are that you will need ample storage space.

Also, if you plan to share your cupboard with your partner and/or children, you need to consider their needs as well. For instance, if you have growing kids, look for an extra space closet.

Material

Looks, budget, durability, protection – all these factors need to be considered while choosing the finish of your wardrobe. Moreover,  if you’re looking for budget options, go for a laminate finish closet.

Likewise, you can choose a closet with mirror panels in case your bedroom is small and you want to make it look spacious. For a more high-end and durable option, choose an acrylic.

Budget

Let’s say, the cupboard is a long time investment so why hesitate?

The prices of wardrobes will widely vary based on the size, material, style, and finish.

So, you’ll have to decide on a budget and stick to it.

Design

Sliding, standalone, built-in, walk-in – there are so many types of wardrobes available! Also, your cupboard should complement your bedroom design.

While buying a cupboard, keep your bedroom decor in mind.

For instance, if your bedroom has a woody theme, opt for wooden wardrobes.

Home hacks that will Solve your Household Problems

1st December 2021
"Are you tired of a simple problem in your home which needs a big solution?"

Are you tired of a simple problem in your home which needs a big solution? Here we have a list of simple home hacks which is a great solution for the common household problem:

Unclog a stuck drain with coffee.

Do you know coffee grounds can be mixed with dish soap and boiling water to unclog drains?

You just need to mix the grounds with soap and add the mixture into your drain, following it up with a lengthy pour of boiling water, the combination of which will break up whatever's clogging your pipes.

Remove small scratches on furniture with toothpaste.

We all end up with small scratches in the finishes of our furniture from time to time. So to get rid of the small scratches you just need toothpaste!

Using a pea-sized amount of non-gel paste, rub the scratch in a circular motion until it buffs out, and then clean the remainder with a damp towel. Then, see the shine in your furniture!!

Remove candle wax from the furniture with ice cubes.

If you ever spill candle wax on a piece of furniture then don’t lose your calm. Instead, fill a plastic bag with ice cubes, place it over the wax, and let it sit for a few minutes.

Once the wax has sufficiently cooled and hardened, you can pick it up easily without ruining your furniture's finish or fabric. Easy right?

Use vinegar to get odors out of your microwave.

If your microwave is smelling like a rotten fish, there's a simple way to get it clean and odor-free without using harsh chemicals.

You just place a bowl of vinegar in the microwave for around five minutes and simply wipe it afterward and the odor is gone!

Wrap a rubber band around the neck of a soap dispenser to avoid overuse.

Are you tired of your children overusing the soaps and handwash?

Don’t worry! Just wrapping a rubber band around the neck of a soap dispenser will slow its flow, meaning you'll get an appropriate amount of soap with every pump and won't run through an entire bottle each week. Trick your children!!

Home backyard decorating tips

8th December 2021
"We're all spending way more time at home these days, so it's more important than ever to make our backyards welcoming and special."

We're all spending way more time at home these days, so it's more important than ever to make our backyards welcoming and special.

Any backyard can be made a little cozier with our best tips and tricks for making your space more beautiful, useful, and fun.

Use Ornaments

Much more than an afterthought, garden ornaments can guide how you shape and use your outdoor space, and affect how it feels when you're in it.

A wrought-iron gate can mark the entrance to a world of green, a tree-hung lantern raises your perspective, a curved bench inspires a nap.

Upcycle some pieces

If you have some unusual items in your home look for ideas of things to make for the garden. You can upcycle some of them into some incredible planters.

In some cases, it's just a case of filling them with soil and adding some blooms.

Add pretty lighting

Solar lighting will give your garden a professional look, as well as extend your enjoyment by a few hours every day.

Choose staked lights that flick on as soon as the sun sets and you'll be blown away by the impact.

Plant Collections

Besides selecting out your favorite specimens for pots and pedestals, the green plants would be eye catchy and attractive for decorating the garden.

Several options exist for vertical green walls, including wall-mounted planters and woolly bags. They are relatively maintenance-free.
