The Yamaha R15M / R15 V4 has been launched by MAW Enterprises, Nepal's authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles. The all-new R15 V4 is the 4th generation of legendry R15 which shares the same DNA with super sports YZF R1.

And, The R15M takes the racing quotient to next level with stunning new graphics, 3D Emblem & Special Seat, 155 CC LC4V SOHC FI ENGINE WITH VVA equipped with a Traction Control System and a Quick Shifter.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at Yamaha R15 M / R15 V4 with its key specifications:

Performance

Yamaha R15 v4 is powered by a 155cc, Single-Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-cooled FI engine. It has a maximum power of 18.6PS and a maximum torque of 14.1Nm at 7500rpm.

It's also paired to a 6-speed transmission with an assisted slipper clutch.

Yamaha R15 v4 now comes with Hazard Light Switch, Traction Control System, Quick Shifter, Golden-Colored Upside-Down Front Forks, and Bluetooth Connectivity.

Design

The Yamaha R15 v4 is based on the iconic Yamaha R7. A new Bi-Functional LED Projector headlight with distinctive LED DRLs is included in the front part.

The Class D unit is the same as in the Yamaha MT 15. In addition, the front profile appears to be smaller than in R15 v3.

Yamaha has placed a greater emphasis on enhancing aerodynamics. This is done for improved airflow management, which aids in higher-speed stability.

Dimensions

The dimensions are 1990mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1135mm in height. Furthermore, the wheelbase is 1135mm. Ground clearance of the Yamaha R15 v4 is 170mm.

The kerb weight is also 142 kg. Dual Horn, rear Radial Tyre, in-built Side-Stand Engine Cut-Off Switch, Dual-Channel ABS, Aluminium Swing Arm, and more are among the notable features.

Additionally, Yamaha R15 v4 will be available in four different colors: Red, Blue, Dark Knight, and Metallic Grey.

Yamaha is unveiling one new model after another as part of its strategy to increase its market share in the South Asian market. Yamaha has started to bring new motorcycles by making a series in that.

After the success of Yamaha's FZ series, the MT series brought to India has also started doing good business. The MT-15, which has come to Nepal as a premium motorcycle, is doing good business. With its success, the company is preparing to launch other models under the MT series.

Yamaha has been selling MT-125, MT-15, MT-03, MT-09 models in the MT series.

The introduction price of MT in Nepal starts from Rs 459,900.

The model MT-03, which the company is going to start selling with the Indian market at the center, has been given a 321 cc engine. As for the specs, the engine of MT-03 delivers 41.4 PS of power and 29.6 Nm of torque.

Priced at the same price as Yamaha's R3, this motorcycle is given double channel ABS. All the lights used in MT-03 are LED. The Yamaha R3 is priced at Rs 9,24,900 in Nepal.

The Yamaha MT-03 has 37mm KYB upside down difference on the front and spring rated preload-adjustable on the rear. For safety, 298 mm disc brakes are provided at the front and 220 mm at the rear.

Given the fully digital instrument cluster, this motorcycle is expected to be the special choice of the youth. The company is expected to launch it in the Indian market by the last quarter of 2020. Probably this motorcycle will also come to the Nepali market.
