An 890 cc Croplane inline-triple engine is used in the latest MT-09.

Much effort has been made to decrease the bike's weight. A new cast piston, break fracture connecting rod, crankshaft, camshaft, and crankcase are included in the engine upgrade.  A new fuel delivery system, including an injector throttle bulb.

The bike has been given a sporty look. Single LED projector headlights are available in the updated headlamp cluster. Which is flanked by twin vertical LED DRL strips.

In the next iteration, conventional tail-mounted number plates will be available, while the number plate holder is connected by the swing arm to the current arm, as in the MT-10. The swingarm is a different component because, on top of the new one, it gets rid of bracing.

Finally, it will be eligible after 2021 on the international market. It will take some more time for this bike to come to the Nepali market.
