Tips to Ride Motorbike at Night | Reviews

7th January 2021
"Riding motorcycles in dark is an interesting challenge in itself, and it turns out to be a fun experience."

Although people may lay down and relax for the remainder of the day after sunset and before sunrise, there are those who just love to explore the other side and wake up their nerves to a frisky note. And if you are a motorcyclist with hunger adventure, surely the latter aspect is the one that seems to be more thrilling. Riding motorcycles in dark is an interesting challenge in itself, and it turns out to be a fun experience if you are well versed in the antics of riding in the night. But if you're not, well, what you can end up with is an uncomfortable scene showing yourself in the hospital.

Bike Lightings

Yeah, there are street lights on the streets.  Some are wonderful, and others require some significant assistance. Installing your own with an HID lighting package, an LED headlamp or clearer bulbs would increase your ability to see at night and encourage others to see your bike better on the lane. And don't forget to make sure they function well and are appropriately calibrated. You should make use of the high beams as well, on country roads more so. Only make sure that no oncoming traffic is present. Keeping the headlights clean is also a smart thing since even an invisible coating of dust will minimize light transmission by up to 25 percent.

Make sure the vision is clear.

After testing the power of your bike and the willingness of others to see ahead, now it's your turn to investigate whether or not you can keep in check what's all happening ahead of you. First and foremost, make sure that the helmet visor you use is clean and clear of any cuts, mud, and spray, or not. The dirt and dust particles appear to mirror the light back when accessed, which can hamper your vision. In your vision, the bruises are much bigger deterrents and can blur the lights falling on you, distracting your night riding performance.

Dangers

Nighttime comes with a range of risks of its own. This is the moment when drunks feel they can drive away, particularly after bar hours on weekends. When you see cars accelerating or swerving, be extra careful because they are probably not paying attention to their situation, regardless of whether or not they are sober.

At the night, people have naturally get sleepy. On your car, it is possible to doze off. It's not the safest thing to be riding your bike if you feel tired, because your reaction rate needs to be at its best.

Animals

In the nighttime, deer, raccoons, squirrels, even dogs and cats, and other animals come alive, and when you least expect it, they will leap into your path. With little light, these creatures are hard to find, so be mindful of your surroundings. Control your pace and do your best to stop it without putting yourself and everyone else in danger on the road if you happen to catch something about jumping out on the road with time to spare.

Not only animals, but there could be people who are trying to cross the road. That is why we always suggest people always carry a torchlight while walking at night even there are street lights so the rider can see you clearly.

Potholes

At night, potholes become near to invisible. You will get an idea as to where potholes are if you pay more attention to other vehicles on the lane, and see their lights bouncing. Also if you think there is a possibility of potholes on the road, we suggest you, tone it down and keep your speed to a minimum and give keen attention to the road.

Give yourself plenty of space on the lane

Always make sure that there is ample room around you while traveling through the night so that it allows you the ability to be mindful of the presence of other cars when they are coming for you. At cornering times or where you want to do a U-turn, this suggestion proves very useful. This way, you allow other riders ample time to safely respond to your actions.

Tips to Save Petrol in Bike | Minimize Fuel Consumption

20th October 2019
"Minimizing the petrol consumption is one of the major tricks to all the bike riders."

Bike and petrol are two parts of the same coin. The bike enthusiasts purchase a bike to travel up to their destination but petrol plays a huge part in their life. Minimizing the petrol consumption is one of the major tricks to all the bike riders.

Today we shall provide you with the tips to minimize petrol consumption for the bike.

Maintain Carburetor and filter of bike

The carburetor and filter should be regularly monitored and maintained. The dirt and dust around the city seem to collect around the carburetor passing the filter which obstructs the regular flow of petrol to the engine. This results in overconsumption of petrol in the bikes.

Kill your engine when the bike is stationary

There are times such as traffic jams, traffic light, and important phone calls at which your bike need to be stopped. In such situations, it is better to put your bike in neutral and kill the switch. Even the motionless bike engine consumes petrol which can now be controlled.

Clutch, Brakes, and Gear

We understand the necessity of clutch, brakes, and gear in a heavily crowded city like Kathmandu. All three parts must be used at all times. The clutch needs to be pressed to avoid the killing of the engine in a jam where you constantly need to brake and gear down to the lowest gear. Such activities consume more petrol than necessary. Hence, minimizing such usage when you can make a big difference in your consumption of petrol and a fat wallet.

Avoid parking your bike under direct sun

Petrol is a substance that evaporates fast even if you keep it in a vessel. When you park your bike under the direct sun, the heat evaporates the petrol at a fast rate. Therefore, try to avoid parking your bike when there is no shade above it.

Tire Pressure

The tire pressure should also be regularly monitored. The pressure must be approximate as per the bikes tire type and capacity which is mentioned in the brochures. If the pressure tends to be high or low than required, the bike cannot give its best performance and consumes more petrol to provide the optimum show.

Tips for long-lasting tyres

20th September 2020
"Tyres are sometimes the major expense of your car after fuel so ensure you get the full benefit of your investment."

Tyres are sometimes the major expense of your car after fuel so ensure you get the full benefit of your investment. It takes good maintenance and treatment to get the best out of your tyres. Once in 4-5 years, you will need a replacement. However, your tyre could easily be ripped down to shreds by the end of that time, if due care was not taken to it.

The following easy tips are not just a way to enhance your tyres' durability but also boost overall fuel economy, driving behavior and, perhaps significantly, your general safe driving.

Monthly check of tyre inflation

Too much-inflated tyres will unexpectedly bounce you around, poorly-inflated tyres cause you to lose handling characteristics and make your fuel expenses even more. What's even worse is that tyres that are significantly poorly-inflated can overheat and burst.

Look for the best pressure for your tyres, front and back. Don’t forget to check your tyres every month. You can even set a reminder if you have trouble remembering it.

Check your wheels for balance

When you get your tires rotated, you can also get your wheels balanced. And if you use a two-wheeler then need not do this, you can just do your tyre rotation. There's a heavy spot inside every tire and wheel. None of them is perfect, even though they are completely new. The gap is slight, estimated in 1 to 1⁄2 ounces. But vibration and uneven tire wear can be caused by that slight difference. Using a special device and small weights your technician can stabilize any wheel. As when the tire wears, the weight will need to be shifted or changed. It is a quick, easy cycle that costs far less than a new tire! Please ensure throughout rotation you have the balance of your tires tested and balanced.

To preserve the life of your tyres, you need to minimize the repetitive and sudden braking. Sudden acceleration also leads to reducing tire’s wear similarly. Standard tyres, not ideal for power slides or burnouts. Even if you are enticed by the scent of burnt rubber, stop any of those gimmicks on your tyres. They put undue pressure on the tyres, reducing life faster than expected.

Always carry out pre-travel examinations

Before any ride, this should be something you do. The tires should always be provided with a pre-trip examination of key structures for road preparation. Test the tyre pressure, check at the condition of the tyres, and be prepared to tackle troubles before hitting the roadway to mitigate the damage.

Don't forget to carry a spare tyre!

Heavy loads

Motorcycles are light and heavy, and people either slim or obese. We may raise the tension of the tyres to accommodate more weight (within the prescribed edges) understanding this factor. If we add a traveler and a load to it, we should apply further pressure to the prescribed maximum limit to sustain this big load.

Anyway, aim to make the bike as light as possible. The heavier the load is, the more the damage is, so we can obey guidelines like emptying the saddle bars and the top case or removing them if we don't need it. We may also decrease the weight of the unwanted stuff taken from other boxes and the storage of the under the seat.

TIPS TO HANDLE COLD STARTING OF BIKE | REVIEWS NEPAL

30th September 2020
"Its that time of the year!"

It is that time of the year when our riders are waiting for the monsoon to end. We can also say that it is riding the season of the year. For many, the serene pleasure of traveling in the cold is a delight but, to be honest, this has its own set of challenges that comes with it. Today, managing cold problems is something that every rider handles according to how relaxed they are. The mechanical difficulties that arise with the bike, on the other hand, are normal for all. So here's our detailed list to tackle the cold engine's threat, a quick start.

1. Try to kickstart

KICK-START

The unfortunate thing about this is that most new bikes are introduced without the possibility of a kick start. The part where the rider can not get his engine started because the battery juices are not up for it, as much as I admire the idea of reducing the rider's commitment to getting the bike running. Draining on the battery will get a bike started with electricity, particularly in cases of repeated failed attempts. A kick start comes in handy here. It is advised that the bike should be kick-started for optimal output at each interval of starting a bike, where the stopping time is over 6 hours. This assures battery and engine endurance as well. Too bad for bikes without a kick-starter, but this is your go-to choice for all the others.

2.Choke Supplying

CHOKE

For bikes with electronic fuel injection, this is not applicable. Make use of the small lever elsewhere on the bike for anyone else. Refer to the handbook you got with the bike at the time of delivery for the precise position depending on the model. Only pull the level to 'Up' and start the bike if you do not know how to use a choke. The bike will start or start quickly with normal revs and then change to high revs at idle. It is also advised not to hold the choke on while the bike is off and stationary, because fuel can flood the engine block.

3. Flow the fuel in the engine

Vehicles require liquids to work as a human body-their the most critical resource being petrol. It's not enough to get the bike running, particularly when it's cold, although most bikes have some fuel left over in the carburetor. For this, what you need to do is turn the gas knob from "Off" to "On" or "RES," which, if you are running low on gasoline, stands for reserve. Now, let the gasoline, which should not take longer than a few seconds, flow into the engine.

4. Moving the Motorcycle

MOVING

Both the liquids appear to pool at the bottom of the crankcase, making the top portion of the gears dry if a motorcycle has been sitting idle for a long time. It should be enough to drive the bike through your parking lot or your garage. This effectively helps the gears to be lubricated with oils and eliminates the likelihood that the bike will operate with the least amount of oil.

5. Ensure the motorcycle is in operating condition

You need to have lots of petrol and a battery that is well-charged. Keeping the motorcycle properly serviced, especially in damp or cold conditions, is crucial. Fit new spark plugs, or clean the old ones, if not worn, and void. Check the timing of the ignition and change it if necessary; replace the ignition points if installed. A carburetor and clean service is also a nice idea. If they look rusty, worn, or frayed, replace the spark plug leads.  Check for the guide in your motorcycle's handbook using only manufacturer-recommended spark plugs and plug leads.
