Following the lockdown, the 2021 Jeep Compass will be formally launched in Nepal. MAW Life, Jeep's sole authorized distributor in Nepal, is preparing to launch the 2021 Jeep Compass in the Nepalese market. The Jeep Compass 2021 will be offered in nine varieties, three of which will be petrol and six of which will be diesel. The New Compass would cost between Rs 87.9 lakhs and Rs 1 Crore 39.9 lakhs.

Design

The 2017 Jeep Compass has a new exterior appearance, a revised dashboard, and improved comfort and convenience features. The Compass gets new headlights with integrated LED DRLs, a redesigned seven-slat grille with honeycomb-like features, a new front bumper with a reworked faux skid plate, a wider air dam with new fog light housings, and 18-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the SUV receives new alloy wheels. Aside from these alterations, there will be no other significant alterations to the SUV's side and back.

Interior

The interior of the Compass receives the most significant improvement. The new Compass has a redesigned interior that includes a new floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new three-spoke steering wheel, a huge digital instrument cluster, and new AC vents and HVAC controls.

The new touchscreen will be equipped with FCA's UConnect 5 infotainment system and will enable Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV has a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, dual-zone automated climate control, a 360-degree parking camera, leather upholstery, a powered tailgate, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat for comfort and convenience.

Engine

The Jeep Compass facelift has the same engine and gearbox options as the previous generation – a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 173hp and 350Nm of torque and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine with 163hp and 250Nm of torque. Both engines come standard with a six-speed manual transmission; however, the Compass petrol and diesel will also be available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a nine-speed automatic torque converter. The diesel engine will also be available with four-wheel drive.

Among other features, the tiny SUV will have seven airbags, ABS with EBD, brake aid (BA), terrain modes, hill assist (HA), and hill descent control (HDC). The Kia Sportage, Tata H5, Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Tucson, and Skoda Karoq will compete with the Compass in 2021.

Jeep Compass's 'Night Eagle' edition is coming to the market. Jeep India will launch it in the Indian market in the next few days.

This edition will only come in black color. This variant uses gloss black color everywhere, which will reflect the night.

The 18-inch alloy wheels are also given a gloss black color. Its dashboard will also be available in black color. Seats, AC vents, and infotainment systems are also provided in gloss black color.

It will have an 8.4-inch U-connect touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Apple Car Play, Android Auto. Also, features like push bottom start, dual-zone climate control, projector headlamps, airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESP, hill start assist will be available.

This is a continuation of the old engine of Jeep Compass. Its 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine delivers a maximum of 162bh of power and 250Nm of torque, while the 2.0 turbo diesel engine delivers 173bh of power and 350Nm of torque.

Shortly after being made public in the Indian market, the Compass Night Eagle Edition will also be available in the Nepali market. MAW Life is the official distributor of Jeep in Nepal.

NEW CARS LAUNCHING IN 2020

Jeep is an American carmaker that has been around for more than 70 years. Jeep Compass 4×4 sports utility vehicle offers comfortable rides, has great specifications and comes with attractive designs.

Initially, Jeep Compass was officially launched in Nepal through the NADA Auto Show, which attracted unexpected customers.

The vehicle is equipped with two small but powerful engines, which give a smooth ride on rough roads. 

Jeep Compass Overview

Exterior

There is a seperate fan following for the design of Jeep Compass. With a distinct square SUV like design philosophy the overall shape is attractive as ever. 

The front bumper and rear bumper of the vehicle have been redesigned. There are updated headlamps along with the revised seven-slot grille. While the rear styling remains the same, the latest 18-inch alloys still look smart.

Interior

Jeep has played close attention to make the interior look premium with added metal elements and a new premium finish to some of the switches. It gives you an all-new design with a new look steering wheel, touch screen, and a new digital instrument cluster. A dual-tone and full black interior combination is now available in leather and fabric upholstery. 

In terms of technology, the Compass is at the top with the new 10.1-inch touch screen and also has a new infotainment system. The display looks nice while even the instrument cluster is now fully digital with a 10.25-inch display.

Engine

It is powered by a 1.4-litre 4-cyl Multiair engine that provides 1368 cc of engine displacement. Approximately 160bhp at 3750rpm power and 250Nm at 1750-2500rpm torque are produced by the engine.

The vehicles are available in different colours variant as Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue, Vocal White, Magnesia Grey, Brilliant Black, and Exotica Red.

Price

The vehicle comes with only 5 variants which are divided as Sports, Longitude, Trailhawk, and Limited variants.

The diesel version with a four-wheel-drive system will also be available.
