Internet bandwidth consumption rose by 30% following the prohibitory order

Internet bandwidth consumption has increased by 30% than usual in different cities of Nepal including Kathmandu.
According to ISPAN, an internet service provider due to the maximum number of people staying in homes following the prohibitory order use of internet use escalated exponentially.
The general public has had to depend mostly on the internet to kill time while they are stuck at home.
Normally on a daily basis bandwidth consumption is 900 to 1000 GBPS, currently, the consumption has risen to 1000 to 1250 GBPS.
Also, the highest internet consumption normally occurs between 6 pm to 10 pm, now the ratio is pretty much the same across the day.

According to NTA's data between 2076 Chaitra to Magh of 2077; 37,67,000 internet subscribers were added.
Before the first lockdown in Falgun of 2076, the total number of internet subscribers was 2,18,52,000, now the number has reached 2,54,19,000.
