OnePlus recently announced further integration with its sister smartphone brand Oppo. The move follows the positive impacts observed from the earlier merger of the R&D teams of the two companies. OnePlus will continue to operate independently following the merger.

OnePlus and Oppo’s association becomes more public than ever before after the announcement. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau stated that the two companies will "further integrate" to be more efficient through resource sharing for both hardware and software.

Lau also mentioned that the association will result in more resources at hand for the companies to create better products. It will also bolster faster and more stable software updates for OnePlus users.

The integration follows the additional responsibilities taken by Lau at Oppo last year. His role as Senior VP and Chief Product Experience Officer at Oppo led to the integration of a number of OnePlus and Oppo teams. The companies were able to better streamline their operations and “capitalize on additional shared resources” with the integration.

Lau clears that OnePlus will continue to operate independently following the merger. This means all OnePlus branding, channels and products will operate as before.

OnePlus is launching phones that don’t weaken the wallets of their customers. After the lauch of OnePlus Nord, a mid-range phone, previously this year, OnePlus Clover, an entry-level smartphone, is rumored to be next in the line.

Rumored Features of OnePlus Clover

‘Clover’ is a codename for this device and there is no confirmation about the name of this up-coming budget Smartphone. The OnePlus clover is expected to attract large number of average smartphone users with its price and features.

OnePlus Clover is powered by Snapdragon 460 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone will also come with a microSD card support.  As Clover is expected to have 6000 mAh battery with 18-W fast charging, OnePlus doesn’t seem to compromise on the battery despite being a entry-level Smartphone. The display size of 6.52-inch HD+ also seems generous, even though it's an LCD.

The OnePlus Clover, expected to launch later this year, will be the only 4G phone released by OnePlus this year. A trio of rear cameras including 13MP primary + two 2MP lenses is expected; however, there is no information about its selfie camera. 

The OnePlus Clover will be a budget-friendly entry-level Smartphone costing around $200 or NRs. 19,550.

OnePlus has finally launched OnePlus 8 Pro in Nepal. The phone along with OnePlus 8 had been launched in the international market in April; however, due to complications in transportations and restrictions caused by CoronaVirus Pandemic, the launch of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro was delayed. It is now finally available in the Nepalese market.

Design and Display

OnePlus has made several changes in OnePlus 8 Pro compared to its predecessors. It is a glass build a near-flagship smartphone that has Gorilla Glass 5 on both back and front with a matte finish. Also, the phone has an aluminum frame. The phone is IP68 certified; so, no need to worry while using the phone amidst any kind of environment as it is water/dust resistant.

OnePlus released Nord, its first mid-range device in years, last year. The business has recently followed it up with Nord CE 5G. The gadget is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G processor. This is a 5G-ready chipset that is a little boost above the normal OnePlus Nord's 765G. Memory configurations are 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage (non-expandable).

Out of the box, the phone runs OxygenOS 11, which is based on Android 11. And, whereas OnePlus went out of its way to disappoint its customers by promising only one major upgrade to the Nord N10 and N100 5G, the Nord CE 5G would receive three years of security and two years of software updates.

 Camera

Following that, the Nord CE 5G has a triple camera arrangement at the back. The OmniVision sensor is used in the 64MP f/1.79 primary camera. This is supplemented by an 8MP ultrawide shooter with a 119o Field of View (FOV) and a 2MP f/2.4 mono lens.

This arrangement allows you to capture 4K/30fps footage.

However, forget about steadiness because the phone lacks OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) (Electronic Image Stabilization). For selfies, a 16MP f/2.45 Sony IMX471 sensor is housed behind a punch-hole cutout on the upper left corner of the screen. It is limited to 1080p/60fps videos and, of course, lacks any type of stabilization.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a larger 4500mAh battery than the original Nord, which had 4115mAh. It supports the Warp Charge 30T Plus standard, which claims to charge to 70% in half an hour.

For the Indian market, the business has chosen a single N78 (3.5GHz) 5G band. The UK edition, on the other hand, adds 11 more 5G bands. M
