You can now sign up to test Microsoft Flight Simulator

4th October 2020
"Windows Mixed Reality headsets get first dibs"

The new Microsoft Flight Simulator is an immersive beast of a PC game, and we can only imagine how immersive it might get in VR — but you might not have to imagine much longer, because Microsoft has just opened signups (via Eurogamer) for a closed beta of the virtual reality experience.

There are quite a few requirements if you want to be considered, though. Not only do you have to own the game, have a Windows Mixed Reality headset, be a registered Microsoft Flight Simulator “Insider” and sign an NDA, but you’ll also need a slightly beefier PC than the base game — with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or better sporting 8GB of VRAM, as well as 16GB of system memory.

And, you’ll need to prove your PC qualifies by submitting your DxDiag (press your Windows start button, type “DxDiag”, hit Enter) so Microsoft can confirm those specs and that your system isn’t prone to BSODs or other major system errors.
(The DxDiag file is basically just an inventory of your system, but it does also list recent application crashes.)

Intriguingly, it doesn’t look like you’ll need the HP Reverb G2, the specific headset that Microsoft originally said would get first dibs on the game. Any Windows Mixed Reality headset will apparently do to start, which should be neat for those who got deep discounts on items like the Lenovo Explorer and Samsung Odyssey over the past couple of years.

In a video Q&A, developer Asobo Studio says the beta should kick off in late October or early November. The company had previously promised a free VR update this fall, so it probably shouldn’t be much longer than that. If you’ve got an Oculus, HTC, or other VR headset, there’ll be a second wave of the closed beta for other devices as well — Asobo says it hasn’t decided when that wave will kick-off.

It’s not surprising Microsoft might want to be cautious with the VR rollout, because the game initially tended to eat powerful gaming PCs for lunch. Even our Nvidia RTX 3080 wasn’t enough to run it at full bore, partly because we hadn’t paired it with a fast enough CPU. That said, we’ve seen some framerate improvement in recent updates, so perhaps VR won’t be a tremendous stretch this holiday. And maybe it’ll give you more time to find a flight stick.

Tata HBX micro SUV concept revealed at Auto Expo 2020, India | Reviews Nepal

29th April 2022
"On manufacture, the Tata HBX could situate itself just underneath the Tata Nexon."

Tata Motors has exhibited the HBX concept in the close-to-production at the Auto Expo 2020, New Delhi, India. The idea uncovers the smallest SUV from the Tata stable. On manufacture, the Tata HBX could situate itself just underneath the Tata Nexon. Reports state that this smaller-scale SUV will be offered in the petrol version alone.

Tata HBX Dimensions

On the Tata HBX dimensions front, the Tata HBX measures up approximately to the size of a Maruti Swift. However, the vehicle is taller to impart an SUV-like appearance. The dimensions of 3840mm X 1822mm X 1635mm along with a 2450mm wheelbase make it a compact SUV.

Tata HBX Specifications

Reports indicate that Tata will be introducing the HBX as a petrol variant alone similar to the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor. One expects a 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine capable of delivering 86hp of power. The engine could mate with a 5-speed manual transmission system. Tata has plans to introduce an electric variant in the next couple of years.

At the backside, a noticeable crease separates the rear end. The minimal tail-lights and a raked-back windscreen add to the magnificent back structure. The allow wheels and knobby tires end up being the highlights of this vehicle. The configuration design incorporates a rooftop mounted carrier sufficiently enormous to incorporate an extra tire and other accessories.

Tata HBX Price in India

The expected price of Tata HBX is 5.57 Lakhs. On the pricing aspect, the vehicle could rank below the Tata Nexon, thereby competing with worthy rivals like the Mahindra KUV100 NXT. The model on display at the Auto Expo is a close-to-production concept. Therefore, one can expect a couple of cosmetic changes before its launch.

Microsoft Surface Duo: Pre-Order Available in September

12th August 2020
"It’s thin, it’s sleek, it’s probably one of the sexiest devices Microsoft have built."

Microsoft is back to selling smartphones for the first time since it abandoned its mobile business more than four years ago.

The company began taking orders Wednesday for the Surface Duo, a new dual-screen Android device that costs $1,399 and begins shipping in September.

The high-priced gadget is designed to impress, but is also arriving during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, with unemployment in double digits and budget-wary consumers spending more time at home to avoid the coronavirus pandemic.

Microsoft is pitching the Duo as a more useful tool than a conventional smartphone, since it enables users to multitask with two separate apps or web pages at a time. CEO Satya Nadella, for instance, uses one screen to take notes and the other to read a book on Amazon’s Kindle app.

The Duo has two 5.6-inch displays and, when opened like a book, is a slim 4.8 millimeters thick, making it what the company says is the thinnest device on the market. Microsoft engineers say that instead of adopting a single folding screen, as Samsung does, they chose to connect two displays on a hinge because it allows for sturdier glass.

It’s thin, it’s sleek, it’s probably one of the sexiest devices we’ve built,” said Panos Panay, Microsoft’s chief product officer, during an online briefing Tuesday.

Adding a mobile device to its Surface line of computers is a reversal for Microsoft after its short-lived ownership of smartphone-maker Nokia and its difficulties in transitioning its Windows operating system to the mobile era. Apple and Google’s Android long ago cornered the market on phone operating systems, but Microsoft’s rare partnership with Google means Duo comes with a suite of Android apps.

It remains to be seen how many consumers will be willing to pay for Microsoft’s pricey innovations in a recession and pandemic. Samsung this summer also unveiled top-of-the-line new Galaxy phones that will cost roughly $1,000 to $1,300.

But Apple is enjoying success with a far cheaper iPhone in the $400 range that it released in April. Google is also rolling out an inexpensive Pixel phone at nearly $350 that has many of the same features as its more expensive model.

Why is gaming mouse better than normal mouse?

16th September 2020
"A gaming mouse for a smooth game play."

The culture of gaming mouse is increasing nowadays. Not just for gaming purposes, a gaming mouse is suitable for normal computer usage as well. Gaming mouses come with ergonomic advantages and are designed in a way that the user can hold it comfortably. If possible, try opting for the gaming mouse even for the normal use as it gives you many advantages.

Gaming mouses feature a number of buttons on the sides that can be used for different purposes. The buttons can be programmed and with a simple click, the user can easily perform the assigned task. With it, you can easily change the tabs; delete files, copy and paste texts, launch or close apps, and many more.

Durability and Improved Performance

Gaming mouses are made with high-quality materials and with better technology opting for the fact that the mouse might get banged to the desk several times. Also, the buttons can be clicked for millions of times and they have glide pads to reduce the friction. With its sweat-proof and other features, a gaming mouse can last for a long period.

Comfort and ergonomic advantages

With its ergonomic designs, users can easily hold the mouse and use it. The gaming mouses are crafted in order to conform to your hands and prevent any kind of fatigue or strain even during the long gaming hours. Not all grip and hands are the same, gaming mouses, better if wireless, can fit your grip and help you work or play for extended hours.

Response time and acceleration

A gaming mouse not only has a better grip but is also accurate. A normal mouse has a response time of 4-6+ ms; however, a gaming mouse has a response time of 1ms. Also, because of its better acceleration, the cursor moves fast as per the speed of the hand movement.

Higher DPI

Dots Per Inch (DPI) related to the sensitivity of the mouse. A gaming mouse has a feature to change its DPI. With higher DPI, the cursor moves or shifts with fewer mouse movements, and it is best suitable for fast movements especially while playing games. And also you can change it to lower DPI suitable for photo edit.

Wired or wireless

Alike a normal mouse, a gaming mouse is also available wired or wireless. The wireless mouse, often, comes with Bluetooth connectivity to connect the mouse with the laptop or pc.

Sensors

Most gaming mouses have laser sensors that have better response time and better acceleration.
