Best Smart Watches To Buy in Nepal

18th May 2021
"While such devices are adequate for many, some people prefer a premium smartwatch experience with a plethora of additional features."

We've compiled a list of the best fitness trackers and budget smartwatches to help you stay on top of your health. While such devices are adequate for many, some people prefer a premium smartwatch experience with a plethora of additional features. So, in this article, we'll look at the best smartwatches available in Nepal right now.

The following are the best smartwatches to buy in Nepal:

Apple Watch Series 6

Apple's Watch Series 6 is the first on our list of the best smartwatches in Nepal. In the wearable market, it is widely accepted that Apple produces the best smartwatches. Maintaining the status quo is thus a significant challenge for the company.

Anyway, the Series 6 smartwatch, which debuted alongside the less expensive Watch SE, is the most recent addition to the company's smartwatch lineup. Starting at $399 for the 40mm variant, this isn't the cheapest wearable you could have on your wrist. Still, with its integration of best-in-class health tracking features and a seamless smartwatch experience, its price may be justified.

  • Battery: Up to 18 hours of battery life

  • Charging: Magnetic charging cable

Samsung Galaxy Watch

Purchasing an Apple Watch if you are not a member of the Apple ecosystem makes little sense. As a result, when it comes to non-Apple alternatives for the best smartwatches in Nepal, Samsung's Galaxy Watch lineup takes the lead. Last year's Watch 3 still holds its ground in this category, with a premium design and everything you'd expect from a top-tier smartwatch.

First and foremost, the circular dial creates a classic and elegant appearance, while the physical rotating bezel simplifies screen navigation. In addition to the dial, there are two buttons on the right frame, one of which is customizable. The Watch 3 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes and accepts 20mm or 22mm straps.

Specifications:

Fitbit Versa 3

The Fitbit Versa 3 is the next smartwatch on our list of best smartwatches in Nepal. The Versa 3 will impress you if you're an athlete or someone who values fitness monitoring above all else in a smartwatch. It includes 20 goal-oriented exercises, and that's just scratching the surface. Fitbit's SmartTrack algorithm also tracks various exercises such as walking, running, swimming, and so on.

Unlike most other smartwatches, the Versa 3 also lets you choose when it should start monitoring your workouts.

It also classifies the exercises into something called "Active Zone Minutes" to persuade you to become more fit with relatively vigorous workouts. You can set specific exercise goals here, and it will award you with points based on your heart rate.

Specifications:

  • Body: 40.39 x 40.39 x 12.45mm, 39.70 grams, Aluminum watch case

  • Strap: (Small: 5.5 – 7.1″ wrist | Large: 7.1 – 8.7″ wrist)

  • Battery: Up to 6+ days of endurance

  • Companion app: Fitbit (Android | iOS)

Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro

Aside from fitness enthusiasts, if you value a premium design in a smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is worth considering. Dare I say it's as premium as a smartwatch can get, molded into a classic circular watch dial? Huawei used titanium for the frame, ceramic for the back, and sapphire for the watch dial. Unlike the Galaxy Watch 3, the GT 2 Pro lacks a raised bezel, but that shouldn't be a problem with this sapphire-hardened screen.

The buttons on the right frame also contribute to the smartwatch's elegant appearance.

In terms of watch straps, you can choose between a black silicone and a gray-brown leather strap, both of which are included in the box. This superior design alone qualifies it for inclusion in our list of the best smartwatches to buy in Nepal.

Specifications:

  • Body: 46.7 x 46.7 x 11.4mm, 52 grams (without strap), Titanium case

  • Strap: Black fluoroelastomer, Gray-brown leather

  • Color options: Nebula Grey, Night Black

  • Display: 1.39-inches Always-on AMOLED panel, Sapphire glass

  • Resolution: 454 x 454 pixels, 326 PPI

  • Water resistance: 5ATM waterproof

Amazfit GTS 2

If a sleeker design is more to your liking, the Huami Amazfit GTS 2 could be one of the best smartwatches to buy in Nepal. Its 3D curved glass body, which weighs only 25 grams (without straps), is lightweight and, as a result, extremely comfortable to wear. Its body is made of aluminum alloy, while the single button on the side is made of plastic.

With this smartwatch, the company is also aiming for the fashion-conscious crowd. The GTS 2 is available in Desert Gold, Urban Grey, and Midnight Black case colors and serves a purpose other than that of a smartwatch.

In terms of watch straps, you can choose between a black silicone and a gray-brown leather strap, both of which are included in the box. This superior design alone qualifies it for inclusion in our list of the best smartwatches to buy in Nepal.

Specifications:

  • Body: 42.8 x 35.6 x 9.7mm, 24.7 grams (without strap)

  • Display: 1.65-inches Always-on AMOLED panel, tempered glass, anti-fingerprint vacuum coating, ODLC coating

  • Resolution: 348 x 442 pixels, 341 PPI

  • Water resistance: 5ATM waterproof

Foldable Smartphones in Nepal

15th April 2022
"Foldable Smartphones, a next-generation innovation that is likely to win over the customers in days to come."

Foldable Phones, inspiring next-level innovation in Smartphone, are the phones comprising of hinged flexible display whose display folds on a vertical or horizontal axis. The vertical fold on a tablet-like Smartphone creates a regular-sized Smartphone whereas the horizontal fold creates a clamshell-like phone which makes it easier to carry around.

Prior to any other mainstream tech brands, the concept of foldable phones was first unveiled to the market by Royole, a Chinese electronic brand, by introducing Royole FlexPai in 2018. However, foldable phones got more attention after Samsung launched its first-ever foldable phone- Samsung Galaxy Fold in 2019. After Samsung, brands like Huawei, Microsoft, LG, etc. have brought and are bringing their foldable phones into the market.

Currently, there are many foldable smartphones available in the global market such as Galaxy Fold, Royole FlexPai, Huawei Mate X and Xs, Galaxy Z Flip, Motorola Razr, LG’s V60, Microsoft Surface Duo, etc.

Along with new Smartphone innovations, the size of the display and the phone itself is increasing. As a result, it’s difficult to carry phones. Some phones are too big even to hold in hands or to put in pockets. As a result, the risk of dropping them is high which leads to phone impairment. Foldable phones can be the best solution to this problem. You can have a Smartphone with a bigger screen and won’t have to worry about any impairment because- fold it and keep it, as easy as it sounds.

Also, with the flexible Smartphone, multi-tasking will be actually possible- you would be able to run different apps and software at the same time. Foldable phones, with their larger size, can hold larger battery reducing the battery problems. It is also likely to replace the laptops as you can carry a convenient-sized smart device without being troubled by any burden.

In the context of Nepal, unfortunately, the riveting foldable Smartphone is yet to enter the market. For the Nepalese market and customers, foldable Smartphone is a new and unfamiliar concept; so, they are somehow dubious about the smartphone and its features. The questions about its folding problems, durability and price are making people sceptical. I believe, the doubts will be cleared once the foldable phones enter the market and people experience the functions and features on their own.
