Must have safety rules at home

16th December 2021
"We all want to feel safe in our homes as well as protect our loved ones who visit. So here are some major safety rules you should look at to ensure the health and safety of your family is secure"

We all want to feel safe in our homes as well as protect our loved ones who visit. It is critical to take time to implement safety measures at your home. Various aspects need to be looked into to ensure that home is a safe place for all the members.

Here are some major safety rules you should look at to ensure the health and safety of your family is secure:

Always Keep the Doors Locked

Even though one may be living in a safe neighborhood, it is always advisable to have the locks on.

This not only minimizes cases of theft but also ensures children do not go out without supervision.

Home is meant to be a place where there is peace and tranquility and you do not want anyone to come in and out as they wish.

Keep Medicine in Safe Cabinets

Medicine is something that needs to be handled with care at home. Safety rules at home on the storage of medicine should not be ignored by anyone.

Not only is the medicine risky to kids but also some adults. People have various problems and some of these such as psychological results in a person being suicidal.

Therefore, in a family with a suicidal person, it is always good to ensure that all items they may use to harm themselves are out of reach.

Keep the Floor Dry at All Times

Accidents caused by a wet floor can lead to severe health effects of a person such as spinal injuries.

At home, everyone should be taught the importance of being responsible to ensure that safety is maintained.

Spillages are common in the home and may not be preventable. Having rules on how to manage the spillage is what is important.

Ensuring that everyone understands the dangers of a wet floor is necessary at any home.

Turn On Security Lights at Night

This particular safety rule at home is aimed at protecting the family against potential intrusion.

Usually, intruders are motivated to break into your house when it is dark. Lights deter criminals as the possibility of being seen is high.

You may not be always around as the sun sets to ensure that the lights are turned on.

However, having a rule that the lights must be turned on at a specific time will leave you at peace knowing that things run smoothly despite your absence.

Home hacks that will Solve your Household Problems

1st December 2021
"Are you tired of a simple problem in your home which needs a big solution?"

Are you tired of a simple problem in your home which needs a big solution? Here we have a list of simple home hacks which is a great solution for the common household problem:

Unclog a stuck drain with coffee.

Do you know coffee grounds can be mixed with dish soap and boiling water to unclog drains?

You just need to mix the grounds with soap and add the mixture into your drain, following it up with a lengthy pour of boiling water, the combination of which will break up whatever's clogging your pipes.

Remove small scratches on furniture with toothpaste.

We all end up with small scratches in the finishes of our furniture from time to time. So to get rid of the small scratches you just need toothpaste!

Using a pea-sized amount of non-gel paste, rub the scratch in a circular motion until it buffs out, and then clean the remainder with a damp towel. Then, see the shine in your furniture!!

Remove candle wax from the furniture with ice cubes.

If you ever spill candle wax on a piece of furniture then don’t lose your calm. Instead, fill a plastic bag with ice cubes, place it over the wax, and let it sit for a few minutes.

Once the wax has sufficiently cooled and hardened, you can pick it up easily without ruining your furniture's finish or fabric. Easy right?

Use vinegar to get odors out of your microwave.

If your microwave is smelling like a rotten fish, there's a simple way to get it clean and odor-free without using harsh chemicals.

You just place a bowl of vinegar in the microwave for around five minutes and simply wipe it afterward and the odor is gone!

Wrap a rubber band around the neck of a soap dispenser to avoid overuse.

Are you tired of your children overusing the soaps and handwash?

Don’t worry! Just wrapping a rubber band around the neck of a soap dispenser will slow its flow, meaning you'll get an appropriate amount of soap with every pump and won't run through an entire bottle each week. Trick your children!!

Efficient house cleaning tips

15th December 2021
"Everyone hates to clean but everyone loves a clean house. Cleaning is often taken for granted, and people just plunge into it without a plan."

Everyone hates to clean but everyone loves a clean house. Cleaning is often taken for granted, and people just plunge into it without a plan.

This usually leads to frustration, because you may end up making an even greater mess. But Here are some useful tips that can boost your house-cleaning efficiency:

Clear the clutter

Before you even start cleaning, go from room to room, and pick up the clutter. This way, when you get down to business, you won’t have to stop reorganizing your belongings.

Focus on tubs, sinks, and toilets

Spray cleaner on the kitchen sink than on bathroom sinks, tubs, and toilets. Let it sit for a few minutes so the cleaner has time to dissolve dirt and stains.

Then return to the kitchen and start scrubbing. Don’t forget to wipe down the inside of the microwave.

Clean toilets last. While in the kitchen, you also want to make sure your garbage disposal is in tip-top shape

Clean in the same direction

When cleaning with a cleaning solution, make sure to move in the same direction consistently.

For instance, if you start to clean by following a left to right movement, you shouldn’t switch to circular movements halfway through.

This could leave undesirable traces on the entire surface.

You should avoid cleaning in circles, in general, to avoid spreading the dirt from the areas you’ve previously addressed.

Keep your favorites cleaning products handy

Keep your favorite cleaning products handy so that you don’t need to go back and forth all the time to look for misplaced cleaning supplies.

You can store everything in a caddy or bucket, and move it around as you go.

Learn to multitask

For instance, while the product is soaking and doing its job in the toilet bowl, you can wipe the bathroom mirror, or rearrange your cosmetics.

Start using baking soda and vinegar

Not only are these products cheap and eco-friendly but they are also marvelous for hardened grease.

They can be used for deep cleaning your favorite kitchen appliances, such as dishwashers, ovens, fridges, to name just a few.

This combo is also great for your beloved stainless steel as it can render it smudge-free effortlessly.
