Eco Infinity, Nepal's sole authorized distributor of NIU Electric scooters, has introduced the NIU UQIGT and NIU MQIGT electric scooters. Two new electric scooters were introduced in Nepal on the occasion of the New Year 2079. NIU has brought two other scooters to Nepal, following the launch of the Goa G5 electric scooter.

Let's talk about the all-new UQIGT and MQIGT electric scooters, their features, specs, price, and availability:

Features

The NIU UQI GT comes with cruise control and three riding modes, each having a speed limit of 25km/hr, 45km/hr, and 70km/hr.

The electric scooter is equipped with an LCD dashboard, anti-theft protection, front and rear disc brakes with a combined braking system, and the NIU APP, which allows you to examine 22 vehicle data points in real-time.

The UQIGT also has NIU's 360° lighting system, including automatic light-sensitive headlights, daytime lighting, 270° semi-enclosed taillights, and auto-off indicators.

Battery and Range

A powerful 48V lithium-ion battery with a 1500 Watt power output powers the NIU UQIGT. The electric scooter has a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour and a range of 70-80 kilometers. The battery takes about 7 hours to charge on average.

The MQIGT, on the other hand, is powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery that produces 3000 Watt of power. The MQIGT has a top speed of 45-70 kilometers per hour and a range of 80-130 kilometers. The battery lasts about 4 hours on average.

Design

The NIU UQi GT's urban-focused design stands out at first glance. It comes with a 740 mm broad handlebar, 14′′ wheels, split-seats, and round LED headlights with DRLs.

The UQIGT measures 1910mm in length (including front and rear fenders), 740mm in width, and 1128mm in height.

The electric scooter has a 1300mm wheelbase and a minimum ground clearance of 180mm and is built out of high-quality tubular steel.

Similarly, the seat height is 840mm. White, Red, Blue, Grey, and Matte Black are the five colors offered for the UQIGT.

The MQIGT has a 269kg load capacity and a 180mm ground clearance. The front and rear wheels of the electric scooter are 14 inches in diameter.

Price of UQIGT and MQIGT electric scooters in Nepal

The NIU UQIGT is available for Rs 2.55 lakh, while the MQIGT is available for Rs 4.35 lakh.

NIU, one of the main globally situated electric bike company, has quite recently disclosed two new high-power electric vehicles. The NIU RQi electric motorcycle and the NIU TQi three-wheeler covered electric scooter could speak to the beginning of another period of reasonable electric bikes for the US showcase.

NIU RQi-GT electric bike

This electric bike features impressive specs including a top speed of 161 km/h and a range of up to 129 km, though that range is measured at just city speeds averaging 48 km/h.

The NIU RQi-GT electric bike is a mid-mounted 30 kW (40 hp) peak power electric motor specially crafted and worked by NIU.

You can even check your tire pressure straightforwardly from the application, which is always refreshed with the bike's diagnostics.

NIU TQi-GT electric scooter

The NIU TQi-GT is rated for a top speed of 80 km/h and a range of up to 241 km. It features a Bosch hub motor of a yet unknown power level in the rear and also includes some game-changing automation.

The integrated 5G IoT connectivity allows riders to get 24/7 live vehicle diagnostics, adjust vehicle settings, and even lock/unlock and start the vehicles directly from a smartphone. Both vehicles can receive over-the-air software updates.

NIU, which claims to be the number one electric brand in the world, has launched another new model NIU MQI Plus in the Nepali market. The company, in collaboration with world-renowned company Bose, has again made the new generation e-scooter available in the Nepali market.
The new scooter has a different driving mode and more space for a second rider. The NIU MQI Plus electric scooter has a 48 volt 31 AH lithium-ion battery and a Bose 1500 watt electrometer. The maximum speed of the scooter, which has a range of 60 to 75 kilometers on a single charge, is said to be 45 kilometers per hour.

 

Because of the robust frame, the rider on this scooter can feel confident. The combination of lithium-ion battery and Bose motor makes the scooter more powerful. The scooter will be available in 5 different colors.
The new upgrade to the scooter has made it more customer-friendly.

All scooters have a prepaid SIM card slot available, which can be connected 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the NIU app. With its help, real-time intelligence scooters like GPS, anti-theft tracking, remote tracking, scooter diagnostics, and help center are available to the rich.
NIU scooters have been available in the global market since 2015. At present, 7 million NIU scooters are sold in 40 countries and the company estimates that they have covered 7 billion kilometers.

The company says that NIU scooters have been available in the Nepali market for the past four years and so far 800 units of scooters have been running on Nepali roads.

Eco Infinity is selling and distributing NIU scooters in Nepal. Pragun Rajbhandari, Director, Eco Infinity, said that apart from this scooter, various ranges of e-scooters, e-bicycles, and bicycles are also available in the Nepali market at present and their objective is to provide satisfaction to all customers for urban mobility. He said that eco-friendly vehicles will be provided at affordable prices.

It is the first successful e-scooter company to get a number plate in the Nepali market. Similarly, Darwar Marg and Jamsikhel in Kathmandu Valley are the first company to have two showrooms and it is also a successful company to get finance cooperation from 8 A-class banks.
Due to all these, NIU is expected to become a game-changer in the Nepali electric vehicle market in the coming days.
