The Samsung Premiere brings a 4K resolution on the bigger screen and Samsung claims the device can reproduce rich and vibrant colours thanks to a new laser-enabled model that also produces lesser heat, enabling a longer lifespan.

The projector is also the world’s first HDR10+ certified projector with a maximum brightness of 2,800 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.

The new projector that is capable of creating a large screen on any blank surface quickly. The Samsung Premiere can deliver a screen size of up to 130-inches and unlike conventional projectors, does not need to be placed very close to the surface wall, being able to project an image from as close as 23.8cm, as per Samsung.

For audio, the Samsung Premiere also comes with a built-in three-dimensional sound system. The projector hence, requires no extra speakers for audio, using its own 4.2 channel 40W built-in speakers.

The compact design of the Premiere comes with a simple installation and doesn’t need to be hung from a ceiling at particular distances and angles.

Samsung’s Smart TVs, the Premiere comes with support for smart features and access to major sports streaming platforms.

Samsung has not revealed a price for the Premiere yet and availability details are also still not out.

Samsung Electronics announced that beginning today, it is the first TV brand to integrate Apple Music on its Smart TV platform. Consumers in over 100 countries will now be able to enjoy Apple Music right away on their Samsung Smart TVs.

As people worldwide spend more time at home, Samsung has been adding more entertainment and wellness options to its Smart TV platform. With Apple Music – available on models from 2018 through 2020 – subscribers can stream over 60 million songs ad-free, watch top music videos, and explore thousands of playlists curated by world-class music experts and tastemakers.

Apple Music subscribers can also get customized daily recommendations and tune in to the innovative Beats 1 radio station, a global live stream with exclusive shows by artists like Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, DJ Khaled, and Elton John. Plus, subscribers will also have access to new “At Home With Apple Music” content that includes new editorial playlists, group FaceTime chats with artists at home, special artist interviews and playlists and more to help create a sense of connection and community during this time of distancing.

Owners of Samsung Smart TVs can download Apple Music from the Samsung Smart TV App Store, sign in to an existing account with their Apple ID, or begin the subscription process right from their TV. Samsung Smart TV owners can try Apple Music free for 3 months with an individual, family or student subscription.

Music streaming service Spotify has launched in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, two years after launching in India, the company announced on Monday.

This expands Spotify’s rollout in South Asia to four countries, leaving only Myanmar. 

CEO Daniel Ek first announced the expansion plan in their Stream on Event, which targets untapped markets with high potential. As per their infographic, they are able to reach 1 billion + customers in those 80+ countries. Before this, they were available in 93 countries. So, the total number of countries with Spotify music service becomes 170+ markets.

Local language, pricing

Spotify is available in Nepal in free and premium plans. They have introduced localized pricing for the premium plan which is cheaper than other markets.

It will work with local creators and partners to expand our music offerings and deliver a Spotify experience that meets the unique needs of the Nepal market.

In the international markets, it also offers a free 1 month of premium plan for an individual in Nepal. It helps people to try out the premium features for free and then buy later.

Spotify is available officially in Nepal now, you still need to use international credit cards or Paypal for the payment.

While tried to buy a Premium plan using a local bank debit card, it failed. 

In the future might be integrated with local card payment or digital wallet payment in Spotify Nepal.

Spotify completes 2 years in India

The premium subscription costs INR 119 per month in India. After finishing two years in India this month, Spotify disclosed the following details on the Indian market (no paying subscriber numbers were disclosed)

•    *10,000+ Indian artists claimed their Spotify for Artists profile since launch, and 600+ playlists (up 5x since launch) have been locally curated by Spotify’s in-house editors featuring several of these artists.

•    *In 2020, more than 20 artists from India featured in several Spotify global playlists. This included Antariksh, Abhilasha Sinha, Sandunes, and Sarathy Korwar, among others.

•    *The number of podcasts created on Anchor (which was acquired by Spotify in 2019) in India has increased 80x in a span of one year (Feb 2020 – Feb 2021).
