There are several varieties of wheel rims, each with its own set of care requirements.

Here are some of them for cleaning rims with household items rather than soap and water or chemicals.

Alloy Rims

Allloy Rims

Using a heavy-duty oven cleaner, remove stubborn oil and grime from alloy rims. Oven cleaner is powerful enough to remove oil, rust, water, and mineral stains.

Wait the set time after coating your rims with the cleaner before washing with a soft bristle brush and water. To dry, use a soft microfiber cloth.

Oven cleaner is both irritating and harmful. Wear appropriate protective clothing and thoroughly clean the area after using the cleaner.

Aluminum Rims

Remove road dirt, oil, and tar with a degreaser and cleansers such as dish soap and baking soda! Mix your dish detergent with equal parts water and clean your rims using a soft cloth. Then sprinkle baking soda on the rough side of a sponge and go over your rims again, and finally rinse off.

However, be cautious since baking soda and the rough side of the sponge are harsh and may harm your rims.

Chrome Rims

White vinegar is an excellent cleaning solution for chrome rims! White vinegar is effective in removing streaks, stains, and tarnish by cutting through dirt and oil.

All you need to do is use equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray your rims with it. After a good coating, go in with a clean microfiber cloth and wipe off the solution.

If you're not sure what your rims are made of, you can always clean them with soap and water.

Car tire and wheel care maintenance tips

7th December 2021
"Car tires are one of the most important components that have to be regularly checkup and maintained."

Cars need regular maintenance to perform efficiently, safely while driving, car tires are one of the most important components that have to be regularly checkup and maintained.

Here are some tire care and maintenance tips that you can follow during everyday driving and before heading on long road trips:

Maintain the right tire pressure
Most of the tire problems stem from improper inflation. Keeping your tire properly inflated is critical to maintaining the life of your tires, maximizing the fuel economy, and most importantly to keep you and the other passengers safe.

The maximum pressure that the tire can hold is mentioned on the sidewall of the tire.

But, that is the maximum limit and is not the actual pressure you want to inflate your tires with.

Check your tire tread depth
The tread depth of your tires must always be more than 2/32 inches.

If your tread depth reaches this limit, it is deemed unsafe and must be replaced.

More the tread depth the better is the grip and the stopping capability.

Get your wheel alignment checked
The front tires of your vehicle need to be aligned periodically to ensure that there is not an excessive amount of difference in the way the two tires are pointing.

A qualified maintenance facility can measure the amount of tow-in or tow out on your vehicle’s wheels and adjust it according to manufacturer specifications.

This prevents excessive and undue wear.

Choose your tires well
If you wish to get maximum life from your tires pay attention to the quality of tires.

Along with the tire brand, you must ensure that the tire size exactly matches the manufacturer’s recommended size.

This will prevent early tire wear, improve fuel efficiency and increase their longevity.

Clean your tires
Simply wash your tires with soap and water and remove dust from the wheels.

Cleaning your tires is not only important to enhance the aesthetic look of your car but is also a significant maintenance step that can prevent your tires from cracking and discoloration.

Ways To Clean Your Car wheels | Tips |

18th January 2022
"Dirty wheels also detract from the looks of your vehicle."

Dirty wheels also detract from the looks of your vehicle. All of that dirt and filth is sprayed onto the body of your car as they rotate.

As a result, it is critical that you thoroughly clean your wheels.

Here are a few tips:

Prepare Your Supplies

The first step in cleaning wheels is to gather the necessary supplies.

While each wheel design and material is distinct, there are certain common cleaning products that may be used on all types.

When you use the same wash bucket, microfiber wash mitt, or detailing brushes to wash your wheels and other elements of the car, you greatly increase the risk of damaging delicate areas such as paint, chrome, and more.

Pressure washer to remove any loose dirt

A pressure washer is an excellent approach to remove the majority of the dirt from your wheels.

Alternatively, a brush and a moist sponge can provide excellent results.

While you're doing it, you should also use the pressure washer to clean the remainder of the car.

Cleaning product as directed

The cleaner will thoroughly clean the wheel, going into all of the little spaces and penetrating the grime.

They can accomplish this without harming the lacquer or paint, saving you money on future repairs.

When using any wheel-spray cleaning chemical, it is critical to follow the EXACT directions.

Some formulas are as simple as a spray, let rest, and rinse – while others need a movement with a wheel cleaning brush.

Leave for the designated amount of time

Wheel cleaners are spray-on and left for a few minutes before washing.

The finest cleaners also change color to show you how much dirt is being removed, and the substances they employ ensure that they won't damage your tires and can easily be flushed down the drain once completed.

Rinse Completely and Wash the Vehicle Completely

After you've completed the following procedures, rinse the wheels on the exterior, inside, and in the wheel well.

It's conceivable that soap or dirt was splashed onto suspension or brake parts, or possibly the paint on the body, during this process.

When your wheels are clean, wash the rest of your vehicle using separate supplies.
