Keeping your house neat and tidy when you have children is a difficult task.
When you first have children, you realize how difficult it is to accomplish anything with them.
Here are some helpful tips for managing the chaos and keeping a tidy house with kids.
Keep your systems simple
When the organizing mechanisms are basic, the kids stay organized. They must be simple to understand and straightforward.
Moms like arranging toys into 15 various bins, a youngster will spend twenty minutes standing in front of them with his toy hammer, unsure which one it belongs in.
You want to make cleanup as quick and easy as possible.
So, as a result the fewer categories and bins there are, the better it is for children to be systemic.
Establish cleaning routines
If you've not set cleaning routines, you should! Daily cleaning procedures are most effective when included in your morning and nighttime routines.
You want things to become habitual - to make you feel as though something is missing when you don't perform them.
Routines for daily cleaning keep waste away so that your weekly cleaning routine is much shorter.
A weekly cleaning schedule, as opposed to a tidying program, focuses on extensive cleaning.
Keep baskets and racks kid-accessible
If your children are unable to reach the coat rack, they are unlikely to hang up their jackets. They can't put away the dishes from the dishwasher if they're out of reach (even with a stool).
Purchase child-height hooks and coat stand if at all possible. Organize your kitchen so that everyone can easily access their own dishes.
Use open bins so kids don't have to fight with lids while helping to clean up the house.
Try some habit stacking
Habit stacking may be used in every aspect of your life, even housekeeping!
The goal is to convince your brain to identify a new action with one that you are currently doing. For example, you may say, "After I finish cooking, I'll fill the washing machine."
Habit stacking is an efficient method for getting oneself in the habit of developing new home behavior patterns it works!
