Factors that stops Hair Growth

20th January 2022
"After a certain point, many people's hair stops growing and begins to thin."

After a certain point, many people's hair stops growing and begins to thin.

Poor hair growth and thinning are also caused by different factors. Some of them are:

Stress

Stress, whether physical or psychological, can have an effect on your hair. It might make your hair more prone to premature graying as well as weaken each strand.

Telogen effluvium is caused by physical or psychological stress. In this condition, your hair enters the telogen phase early, which is when 30% of your hair stops growing.

This does not sustain for longer than six months. This condition might be caused by surgery, physical trauma, sickness, fever, or abrupt weight loss.

Hairstyles And Styling Products

The chemical treatments, chemicals, and methods that you use to style your hair have a significant influence on its health and development.

Hair damage can also be caused by complicated hairstyles that include a lot of combing, tugging your hair tight, and applying serums.

Excessive style and the use of chemical treatments can not only stop your hair from growing but will also create scalp disorders that can result in irreversible hair loss.

Dry Hair And Scalp

Dry scalp and thin hair are symptoms of unhealthy hair. A lack of moisture or an imbalance in the moisture levels of your scalp causes your hair to become dry, causing breakage and limiting its growth.

Prolonged scalp dryness promotes the growth of infections that cause patchy hair loss. As a result, in order to encourage healthy hair development, you should hydrate your hair using natural products and procedures.

Aging

Age is a significant aspect that influences your hair. As you become older, your hair begins to lose its original color and goes gray. However, aging affects your hair in more ways than just turning it gray.

It reduces the development of your hair and causes it to become smaller, resulting in hair thinning.

Tips to Prevent Hair Dryness this Winter

30th November 2021
"During the winter months, it is very important to look after your hair and keep it healthy."

During the winter months, it is very important to look after your hair and keep it healthy.

Healthy hair is known to be shiny with a smooth texture and clean-cut ends but sometimes during winter, we damage our hair which results in dryness with our carelessness and ignorance.

In this article, you will some solutions and tips to keep your hair smooth during winter.

Wear a Silk or Satin on your hair:

It is important to cover your hair during the winter months to shield it from moisture-robbing dry air, snow, wind, and rain. The elements dry your hair out, making it more prone to breakage.

Silk

Moreover, wool, cotton, and other fabrics can cause breakage as well, so make sure to line your hat with silk or satin to help prevent damage.

Lower the water temperature when you shower:

It’s cold and we all do is wash our hair with hot water. But do you know it causes damages to your hair?

Hot Shower

Even though a steamy shower might be just what you’re looking for when the temperature is below freezing, hot water can lose moisture from your hair making it brittle and causing split ends.

If is it really hard for you then wash your hair with lukewarm water and follow with a cool rinse instead.

Avoid Heat:

Winter is here and when we wash our hair our first choice is a blow-drying of a hair. Allowing your hair to air dry is best.

Avoid heat

Blow drying draws moisture out of your hair increasing the chance of breakage. Heat-free drying helps keep your hair safe, shiny, and healthy.

Even if you are short on time, try taking your shower in the evening so your tresses can dry naturally overnight. Embrace your natural hair and air-dry whenever possible.

Avoid frequent hair washes:

Remember over-washing your hair will strip it of natural oils that help to keep hair moisturized and protected. So if you’re someone who washes their hair every day, it’s time to switch things up.

Shower

This is especially bad in the winter when those oils are much needed. Try extending the time between your washes as much as possible.

You can also use dry shampoo because it opens up the hair shaft and brings life back to your hairstyle. It will also keep your hair smelling and looking fresh.

Use an oil treatment:

Restoring moisture with an oil-based hair treatment will be the best thing to do this winter.

Hair oil

Choose a lightweight leave-in formula with argan oil/ coconut oil to instantly remove dry, and damaged hair. Apply nourishing hair oil at the ends daily to help get back moisture and protect your hair.
