How can you benefit from using an eye cream?

18th December 2020
"Prevent fine lines and premature aging with an eye cream that suits your skin."

The skin around your eyes is 10 times thinner than the skin on other parts of your face which is why the skin around your eyes is more prone to premature aging, pigmentations such as dark circles, wrinkles, skin thinning, and skin damage. You need to take extra care of the skin around your eyes which may not be fulfilled by the creams and products in your basic skincare routine.

To recuperate the skin sensitiveness and fragileness, adding an eye cream to your skincare routine would be the best solution. Eye creams are developed considering the delicacy of the skin around the eyes and contain ingredients that moisturize the thinner skin. Some of the major benefits of an eye cream are:

Minimizing fine lines and wrinkles

As you get older, the skin around your eyes gets slow in the process of producing oil and collagen which results in sagginess of skin around the eyes and premature aging. Fine lines and wrinkles appear around your eyes making you look older than your age. Applying an eye cream that suits your skin can provide the necessary oil and moisture to the skin and slow the process of aging. Regular application of eye cream minimizes the fine lines and its risk.

Protection from the sun

As said earlier, the skin around the eyes is quite thinner and are prone to skin damage more than skin in other parts of your body. The regular sunscreen which you apply on your face may not be sufficient enough to protect your skin under the eyes. Applying an eye cream with SPF 15 or above can protect your eyes from the aging UVA rays and damaging UVB rays. Moreover, it helps to prevent unnecessary pigmentation of the skin under the eyes such as dark circles.

Provides moisture

Every skin requires moisture or else they become all dry and flaky with rough patches in different areas. The skin around your eyes does not have many pores as other parts and cannot produce sufficient oil and moisture to keep your skin fresh and healthy. So, an eye cream with required moisture can help you're under-eye skin stay fresh and healthy making you look younger and active.

As they say 'Prevention is better than cure', start young to prevent further damage to your eye skin. It's always best to prevent than to treat. Protect the skin under your eyes and take good care of them. Moisturize your under-eye skin often and take herbal treatments often. Don't use harsh chemical creams on your skin (on any part not just under the eyes). Apply moisturizing eye creams with higher SPF before bed and before going out. Wear huge sunglasses to prevent your skin from UVA and UVB rays as the sun can be the enemy of healthy skin.
