Why should you use a moisturizer?

10th November 2020
"Let that beautiful skin glow!"

Skin is the biggest organ of our body and it requires regular care and attention. Many people are stressed because of various skin problems. The major skin problems are often faced due to a lack of proper attention to the skin. Moisturizing not only improves your skin but gives life to your dull and rough skin. It not only balances your skin but also help you with aging problems. Regular use of lotion and moisturizer should be a part of any good skincare regimen, but some are better than others.

It's best to use moisturizers after a bath, shave, or exfoliation. Especially after a bath when all the moisture from your skin is washed away, you need to moisturize your skin. Let's get to know a few reasons for you to start using a moisturizer.

Prevent dryness or oiliness

Hot weather, cold weather, indoor AC, or outdoor dust, everywhere you go and every place you visit suck the moisture out of your skin. So, it is really important to treat your beautiful skin with a good moisturizer to make your skin baby smooth. Also, not just for dry skin. Proper moisturizer (i.e. not heavy ones) can help you clean your face/ pores and maintain a balance of moisture in your face to avoid excessive oiliness

Slow the aging process

You may have noticed- oily skin wrinkle slower than dry skin which infact is a fact. If you balance your skin moisture and keep it hydrated, then you can slow the aging process. Moisturizing helps to diminish the fine lines and wrinkles.

Fights with acne

It's difficult to take the fact that moisturizers help to reduce acne. Moisturizing an oily face? It doesn't sound reasonable. However, the fact is that if you keep your skin hydrated, the oil-producing glands in tour skin minimize the oil production. As a result, your skin will have the strength to fight the irritating acne

Reduces blemishes

The glow you get after applying a moisturizer can hide small imperfections on the skin and even out your skin tone. Many moisturizers also contain tints and self-tanning agents which will conceal blemishes, discoloration, redness, and dark spots. So, just by applying a simple moisturizer, you can have glowing, soft, and smooth skin as well as an even skin tone.

Soothe sensitive skin

Taking care of sensitive skin is not a piece of cake. It requires extra attention, extra care, and extra products. Red spots? Rough, dry patches? It might be pretty frustrating to take care of sensitive skin. But with a moisturizer that comprises of soothing ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, oatmeal, honey, etc. your sensitive skin may revive with more elegance.

How to use

As mentioned above, you must use a moisturizer after washing your face or after bathing.
1. After washing your face, pat your skin dry.
2. After drying, put the moisturizer gently using upward strokes. Don't ever press or pull your skin.
3. You can then leave it to that, or put your makeup on after moisturizing. Also, note that it's really essential to hydrate your skin prior to makeup.
