CUG services provided to the students, their parents, and teachers by Nepal Telecom

NTC offers CUG service for a throwaway price for teachers, students, and their parents. The teaching-learning activities through telephone services have become cheaper as Nepal Telecommunications (NTC) has offered Corporate User Group (CUG) service for the students, their parents, and teachers of the community schools.
From now onwards, the School Management Committee can avail of the service which aims to establish a learning link between the government and community schools teachers, students, and their parents.
As per the Contingency Action Plan on School Education 2077 BS put in place to make sure the teaching-learning activities continue despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the state-owned telecommunications company had distributed CUG service at a very reasonable price.
Under the service, the service-seekers could avail of the service for a total of Rs 99 per month (excluding the government tax and ownership tax). The users could also hold unlimited conservations in a closed group, according to NTC's spokesperson Rajesh Joshi.
Besides, Joshi informed that the users could get 8GB of data for them to avail of teaching materials available on the website of the Education and Human Resources Development Centre. And the users could send bulk SMSs to each other without any additional charges while as many as 100 SMSs could be sent and 1GB of data could be used for free of cost at any given time for educational purposes.
