And obviously, we don’t want to use a lot of chemicals to make it good and shiny as it hampers the quality of the hair.

In this article today, we will be talking about some of the home hair treatment ideas:

Hot Oil

Create a hot oil hair treatment in just a few minutes by warming a few tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil then massaging it into the scalp and down to the ends.

This is the most simple and best home hair treatment. All you need to do is warm the pan over medium heat until the oil reaches 100 degrees F and massage oil into your scalp and hair then cover with a shower cap or towel.

Moreover, let sit for 30 minutes to an hour and wash out with shampoo.

Also, this treatment can leave hair a little oily so it is recommended to do it during weekends or when you don’t have to go out.

Banana + Olive Oil

Bananas are not only great for your feet, but they're also great for your hair!

Mash a banana with 1 spoonful of organic extra virgin olive oil until it is completely pureed.

Of course, you don't actually end up with banana chunks in your hair.

Moreover, you'll want an extremely smooth smoothie-like texture. So just massage your hair and scalp and allow 30 minutes for the therapy to take effect, then thoroughly rinse and wash.

Pumpkin + Honey

Pumpkins offer several health advantages, including being high in vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, potassium, and zinc.

This may be a great way to use up any leftover canned pumpkin puree.

All you need to do is add 1–2 teaspoons of honey, a natural humectant, to 1 cup pumpkin puree, and apply as much as possible to your hair and scalp.

To hold the mask in place, either wrap your hair in saran wrap or wear a shower cap.

Also, allow it to remain for at least 15 minutes before rinsing. Moreover, you can apply it to your face as well!

Aloe Vera

We use aloe Vera in natural medicinal cures all the time, but did you know it also works great as a DIY hair treatment?

Aloe Vera is an excellent natural conditioner that leaves hair silky and shiny.

It promotes hair development, relieves irritation (such as dandruff), and conditions your hair when applied straight to the locks.

All you need to do is add a few drops of cedarwood oil to increase circulation in the scalp, which promotes healthy growth and slows hair loss.

Just mix 2 teaspoons fresh aloe vera gel or store-bought aloe + 3 drops cedarwood essential oil and massage it into your hair and let it for 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition normally.

Over styling, exposure to heat, chemical processing, and other habits can strip the hair of its moisture and natural oils, which can result in damaged hair.

To prevent those things from happening, or to repair your hair if it’s already damaged, here are some tips on them:

Get Regular Trims

Get your hair trimmed once in 6-8 weeks to remove or prevent split ends. Split ends when left untreated can cause brittle, dry, and damaged hair.

Even if you’ve been growing out your hair for what feels like forever, it’s important to get regular trims to remove dry and split ends.

Don’t Brush Wet Hair

The best time to brush your hair is when it is almost or completely dry.

But if you have tangles after washing it or after a swim, you can use a wide-tooth comb on your wet hair to restore order but make sure it has smooth tooth ends so you don’t irritate your scalp.

And as a general rule if you’re brushing wet hair, make sure you’re applying a leave-in product to help the brush glide through without any snagging or breakage.

Apply Hair Serum

We can’t stress enough the importance of serums. They protect hair from heat styling, control frizz, and leave a shine on your hair.

As a general rule of thumb, apply the serum to your hair and the ends. Applying it to the scalp can make the hair look greasy.

Hair Oils

When your hair is feeling extra-rough, such as after a dip in the pool, use a little oil to add softness back into strands.

Coconut oil is one of nature's fab products for your hair. It can penetrate the cuticle of your hair to repair hair damage.

Olive oil is considered an excellent moisturizing agent and can help replenish the lost moisture from your hair.

Don’t Wash Your Hair Every Day

Washing your hair too often can remove the important oils from your scalp too early before they get the chance to work their way down the hair shaft and nourish your entire length. 

For some people, too-frequent washing can cause damaged hair and a dry, itchy scalp. For others, infrequent washing can make the hair look greasy and lifeless.

Keep Your Hair Dry

The humidity level is already high during the rainy season so you need to take extra precautions to keep your hair dry. Excess moisture may weigh your hair down and make it limp.

Moreover, make sure your hair is completely dry after shampooing, and then comb it with a broad-toothed comb before leaving the house.

Hair is more prone to breakage and damage when it is wet. Try tying your hair with a scarf or another basic hair item. It protects the hair from the sun while also preventing it from getting wet.

Avoid chemicals

Excessive humidity is a result of monsoons, which causes hair to become dull, brittle, and frizzy. This frequently results in an oily scalp and dandruff.

Moreover, it’s best to avoid hair styling and chemical treatments on a regular basis. It's also critical to always condition your hair after shampooing it.
