CG Motors, the newly formed subsidiary of Chaudhary Group, has launched the most elegant, yet affordable electric crossover vehicle in Nepali Market called ‘Neta V’. 

With the theme #CGRevolution, CG is entering the Nepali EV market with truly revolutionary vehicles equipped with longer battery life, high performance, core intelligent technology, smart entertainment, and trendy appearance.

CG Motors organized an unveiling program of Neta V honoring the week of ‘World Environment Day at the Neta showroom at Bhatbhateni, Kathmandu. Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary introduced the much-anticipated crossover EV with respected Mr. Kul Man Ghising and Minister of Forest and Environment Mr. Ramsahay Prasad Yadav in the audience.

CG Motors, MD, Mr. Nirvan Chaudhary said, “As per Nepal Government’s NDC Report, transport sector’s consumption of petroleum is the highest in the country and Nepal targets to reduce transport sector dependency on fossil fuels by 50% by 2050.

CG Motors feels that we can overthrow the target if we have electric mobility for mass vehicles in private and commercial sectors. Electric mobility presents an attractive option to reduce the national trade deficit and foster long-term domestic sustainable energy solutions. So, we are intending to embrace sustainable mobility in both private and commercial sectors in Nepali Market.”

During the unveiling of Neta V, CG Motors CEO, Mr. Hemant Agrawal said, "CG Motors is a new venture of Chaudhary Group for New Energy Vehicle. We are committed to changing the transport landscape of Nepal by incorporating the latest technology innovations".

The company has plans for onboarding other top variants like Neta S and Neta U Pro from next year. Neta Brand is associated with world’s renowned companies like CATL, Huawei, Horizon, Robotics, Sense Time, and PPT for strategic cooperation and product development. Neta’s Research Centre is located in Silicon Valley, California, and Design Centre is in Beijing.

The price of Neta V's is Rs 37.99 lakh. In every purchase, the company is providing an additional 6.6 kW home-based charger and one-year comprehensive insurance for free.

CG Motor, a newly formed company of Chaudhary Group, launch its first electric vehicle in Nepal, the Neta V. The Neta V is a four-meter-long sub-compact electric SUV produced by Hozon Auto under the Neta brand.

The EV is available with two battery alternatives in the global market: a 31 kWh and a 38 kWh; however, the business will introduce the deluxe model (with a 38 kWh battery pack), which has a range (NEDC) of 401 km on a single charge.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at Neta V with its key specifications:

Powertrain

The Neta V will be powered by a 38.54 kWh battery and a 70 kW motor that produces 160 Nm of torque. The EV has a top speed of 101 kmph and an NEDC range of 401 kilometers on a single charge.

The EV is compatible with both fast and slow/home chargers when it comes to charging. A home charger takes 8 hours to charge the vehicle fully, but a fast charger can charge it from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.

The company provides 8 years or 150000 km warranty on the battery, motor, and power electronics; And the warranty is free of defects in the body and structure for 10 years or 150000 km.

Features

The Neta V's global model has keyless entry, N95 air filter, central lock, cruise control, rear-view camera, sensor LCD screen, power windows, electric ORVMs, and USB ports, among other convenience features.

Front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, electric parking brake with auto hold, and a tire-pressure monitoring system are among the safety features included in the EV.

Design

The Neta V has a sleek dolphin-shaped body with a hawk-eye laser headlight on the front fascia. However, there is a tiny bulge at the back. Both sides of the EV have charging ports that can be utilized for both fast and slow charging.

The 14.6-inch tablet-style touch-screen infotainment system (which resembles the Tesla model 3) and a horizontal 12-inch digital instrument cluster are the EV's key features on the inside. Furthermore, except for the controls on the steering wheel, there are no physical buttons on the dashboard.

Moreover, the vehicle homes top-notch features such as HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, High-strength steel caged body, Zero buttons, Light-sending Automatic Headlights, Vehicle-to-load (V2L), and an external discharge function that allows you to supply power to other devices, and much more.

Neta V is available in five different color options: Silver Cloud White, Clear Sky Grey, Porcelain Cyan, Sky Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink.
