Snacking has become a habit but we need to remember that it’s important as well because foods and beverages consumed as snacks contribute to our health.

Plan your snacks

Planning and preparing snacks ahead of time will help you avoid convenient and unhealthy options.

Include healthy snacks as part of your weekly meal planning. Energy bites, trail mix, hummus, and chocolate-covered dried fruit are all great snacks to prepare in advance and enjoy throughout the week.

Moreover, keep pre-cut fruits and vegetables and other nutritious ingredients visible in the refrigerator or pantry for easy access

Snack mindfully

This means being aware of what and why you’re eating. Listen to your body and mind and try to avoid eating out of boredom or stress.

Establish a routine

It’s easy to feel like you are in a rut when there is no structure to the day. Having a plan for the day with clear tasks can keep you and your day on track.

Start by having a set time for getting up in the morning, going to bed at night, and mealtimes.

Not only will this help maintain focus throughout the day, but it will also be good for physical and mental health.
