Things to do while self-isolation for women

19th December 2021
"We may not have a corona cure, but we sure do have some boredom relief to see you through self-isolation with fun, productivity, and home improvement"

Like many of us, you may have found yourself self-isolated due to the COVID-19 chaos. We may not have a corona cure, but we sure do have some boredom relief to see you through self-isolation with fun, productivity, and home improvement.

Establish a routine

It’s easy to feel like you are in a rut when there is no structure to the day. Having a plan for the day with clear tasks can keep you and your day on track.

Start by having a set time for getting up in the morning, going to bed at night, and mealtimes.

Not only will this help maintain focus throughout the day, but it will also be good for physical and mental health.

The body will get into a rhythm that will lead to much better sleep and wellbeing.

Gentle exercise and meditation

Incorporating exercise into your daily routine is important when self-isolating at home.

This is particularly important because we aren’t getting the same exercise and body movements we would usually get when out and about.

Block out time in your schedule each day or a few times a week depending on your ability and energy levels.

Gentle workouts are just as effective so experiment to find what works best for you.

Stretches, seated yoga, breathing exercises, or a walk around the house a few times can be all that’s needed to boost your mood, increase energy levels and reduce stress.

Healthy eating

Since we are spending a lot more time at home now, it is a great time to make those delicious recipes you never found time to make before.

Healthy eating is a great way to boost your immune system and keep it working well.

Eating a range of healthy foods for a balanced diet will provide vital vitamins, minerals, and nutrients which will keep you feeling strong and healthy.

This will also complement the daily exercise to maintain physical and mental health.

Make time for you and the things you enjoy

It’s normal to feel anxious and scared during these uncertain times.

So it’s important to look after your mental health and dedicate time each day to doing things you enjoy to help you relax.

This may be speaking to loved ones, writing your thoughts down in a journal, crafting, and reading, baking, or watching your favorite TV shows.

5 Must have Women Appliances | 2022

2nd May 2022
"Women have a tendency to be very conscious about how they look."

Women have a tendency to be very conscious about how they look. When we look around there are a lot of products and lots of companies that claim to increase your "beauty". Beauty is a state of mind but being presentable in your own sense doesn't have anything wrong. We have compiled a list of 5 such must-have appliances for women to help make you comfortable in your appearance:

An epilator is an electrical device that is used for manually picking and pulling multiple hairs out at the same time to remove hair. Corded, battery, powered, rechargeable models of epilators come in. Battery-powered devices may be used under wet or dry environments. They may also come with multiple accessories, such as a smaller head to support epilate areas that are difficult to access or before exfoliation. Why use a razor that gives you instant irritation when you can just pluck the hairs that give you irritation? Epilator is one of the must-have because you can have silk-like smooth legs anytime you want.

The hair straighteners, whether short or long, are the best cure for getting straight air every day at home. Most of us spend a lot of cash and time in the salon to get our hair fixed. But you can straight, curl, increase the volume of hair, and style your hair according to your requirements by investing in a hair straightener. Not only will the right hair straightener option last long, but it will also make your hair shinier and prettier. Straighteners are the solution for your wavy messy hair anytime anywhere.

A hairdryer is a must-have product for your arsenal, whether you like more length, waves, or a smooth and straight hairdo. While most hair dryers are meant to do the same thing, they are not made in the same manner. So choose wisely and choose what suits you the most and what do you need; simply a hairdryer or a hair styler. Not only can you get the perfect look quicker from high-quality hair dryers, but they will also cause less trouble for you in the long run.

Facial steamers

Steam opens the lungs and succeeds in eliminating the buildup of debris for a better detox. It loosens blackheads also by widening the pores which makes them more likely to clear. It triggers action. The combination of warm steam and increased suddenness dilates the vessels of the blood and increases circulation. It is not the best idea, as fun as it can seem, to use a facial steamer every day. It will do more harm than good, itching your skin if you use it too often. So use it carefully and at home to get the ideal skin.

Wax heater

The wax heater is the system used to melt the wax and to make it ready for use at an appropriate temperature for you. It is used for the melting of both hard and soft wax. Hair development in the neck, hands, and underarms is not considered favorable and we are also willing to feel the pain involved with getting rid of the unnecessary hair in the arms, legs, and even ears. It may be used to heat up massive quantities of wax in just a few minutes and helps heat the wax to the desired uniform temperature.

Common Health Issues Faced by Women

17th December 2021
"Women have very unique health issues as compared to men."

Women have very unique health issues as compared to men. It is vital that every woman has access to knowledge about the women’s health conditions, not only about her reproductive system but related about all aspects of her body.

It’s important to consider that poor health affects not only women but also has repercussions for their infants and other family members.

So here are some common health issue faced by women and needs to be taken care of:

Maternal health issues

From iron-deficiency anemia to high blood pressure, the changes a woman experiences during pregnancy can impact a woman’s health.

Pregnancy can cause a healthy mother’s red blood cell count to drop, a condition called anemia, or induce depression.

Other problems like abortion infections, STDs, post-partum infections, pelvic inflammatory diseases, etc. are also faced by many women.

Lifestyle problems such as smoking, alcohol, consuming processed food, physical and emotional stress can also play a significant role in infertility.

Thyroid problems

Thyroid disease is twice as prevalent in women as in men and is common among women of child-bearing age.

Women generally have hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone levels), in which the metabolism slows down. Symptoms include weight gain, feeling sluggish and tired, etc.

On the other side, high thyroid levels can also cause early onset of menopause, before 40 years or in the early 40s.

Urinary tract infections

Urinary tract infections is particularly common in women, as they have a shorter urethra than a man does.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) occur when germs get into the urethra and start to multiply.

Symptoms of a UTI include frequent urination, pain or burning when urinating, and cloudy urine.

Gynecological Health

Bleeding and discharge are a normal part of the menstrual cycle.

However, added symptoms during menstruation may indicate health issues, and unusual symptoms, such as bleeding between menstruations and frequent urinating, can mimic other health conditions.

Vaginal issues could also indicate serious problems such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or reproductive tract cancer.

While care providers might treat mild infections easily, if left unchecked, they can lead to conditions such as infertility or kidney failure.

Depression and Anxiety

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) occurs commonly among women, while premenstrual dysmorphic disorder (PMDD) presents similar, but greatly intensified, symptoms.

Shortly after birth, many mothers acquire a form of depression called the “baby blues,” but perinatal depression causes similar which include symptoms like concerns, emotional shifts, sadness, and tiredness.
