Is men's skin different from women’s?

7th February 2022
"Men's skin differs from women's skin in a variety of visible and invisible ways."

Men's skin differs from women's skin in a variety of visible and invisible ways. Male skin – on both the face and the body – has some distinct features from female skin, and it is frequently treated differently as well, with regular shaving.

Here are a few ways in which men's skin is different from women’s:

Pores Are Larger & More Visible

The tiny holes on your face are known as pores, and they allow the skin to release sweat and sebum, which is essential.

The pores on men are larger than those on women.

The issue here is that open and large pores equal more acne problems, dirt accumulation, blackheads, and an unappealing appearance.

Exfoliation can aid in the clearing of pores.

Thicker Skin

Male skin is approximately 20% thicker than female skin. It has more collagen and appears tighter and firmer.

Male skin's collagen content decreases at a constant rate. Female skin suffers later in life, particularly after hormonal changes.

Female skin thins more dramatically as a result, and the effects are more noticeable than in male skin.

Oilier & Shiner

Men produce more sebum because their pores are larger and they have more sebum glands.

It means that men's skin contains more oil, so men's faces may appear shinier and oilier than the women around them.

Although natural oils keep your skin from drying out, they can cause acne to flare up.

Higher Risk for Irritation

A man's skin is rarely sensitive to environmental irritants or new products.

Regular shaving, on the other hand, can make it stressed and more prone to irritation because it exposes the uppermost layer of the skin.

This leads to more razor burns as well as irritation and itching. After shaving, make sure to properly moisturize your face.

Ages Better & Slower

Men benefit from the fact that they age at a constant rate.

Although they lose collagen at a younger age, the signs of aging are not as visible as in women.

Because men's skin is thicker, aging issues such as sagging, the appearance of fine lines, and wrinkles are less visible on them for a longer period

5 Must have Women Appliances | 2022

2nd May 2022
"Women have a tendency to be very conscious about how they look."

Women have a tendency to be very conscious about how they look. When we look around there are a lot of products and lots of companies that claim to increase your "beauty". Beauty is a state of mind but being presentable in your own sense doesn't have anything wrong. We have compiled a list of 5 such must-have appliances for women to help make you comfortable in your appearance:

An epilator is an electrical device that is used for manually picking and pulling multiple hairs out at the same time to remove hair. Corded, battery, powered, rechargeable models of epilators come in. Battery-powered devices may be used under wet or dry environments. They may also come with multiple accessories, such as a smaller head to support epilate areas that are difficult to access or before exfoliation. Why use a razor that gives you instant irritation when you can just pluck the hairs that give you irritation? Epilator is one of the must-have because you can have silk-like smooth legs anytime you want.

The hair straighteners, whether short or long, are the best cure for getting straight air every day at home. Most of us spend a lot of cash and time in the salon to get our hair fixed. But you can straight, curl, increase the volume of hair, and style your hair according to your requirements by investing in a hair straightener. Not only will the right hair straightener option last long, but it will also make your hair shinier and prettier. Straighteners are the solution for your wavy messy hair anytime anywhere.

A hairdryer is a must-have product for your arsenal, whether you like more length, waves, or a smooth and straight hairdo. While most hair dryers are meant to do the same thing, they are not made in the same manner. So choose wisely and choose what suits you the most and what do you need; simply a hairdryer or a hair styler. Not only can you get the perfect look quicker from high-quality hair dryers, but they will also cause less trouble for you in the long run.

Facial steamers

Steam opens the lungs and succeeds in eliminating the buildup of debris for a better detox. It loosens blackheads also by widening the pores which makes them more likely to clear. It triggers action. The combination of warm steam and increased suddenness dilates the vessels of the blood and increases circulation. It is not the best idea, as fun as it can seem, to use a facial steamer every day. It will do more harm than good, itching your skin if you use it too often. So use it carefully and at home to get the ideal skin.

Wax heater

The wax heater is the system used to melt the wax and to make it ready for use at an appropriate temperature for you. It is used for the melting of both hard and soft wax. Hair development in the neck, hands, and underarms is not considered favorable and we are also willing to feel the pain involved with getting rid of the unnecessary hair in the arms, legs, and even ears. It may be used to heat up massive quantities of wax in just a few minutes and helps heat the wax to the desired uniform temperature.

Basic skincare routine for dry skin in winter

24th November 2021
"People with dry skin always struggle to maintain skin hydration levels properly throughout the day."

People with dry skin always struggle to maintain skin hydration levels properly throughout the day. To prevent your skin from feeling dry, flaky, and uncomfortable by the end of the day, you need a skincare routine that helps it hold onto moisture.

Here’s a skincare routine for dry skin in winter that can leave your skin happy, hydrated, and glowing.

Cleansing the skin is the first step before applying any moisturizing creams or oils. Remove all makeup, dirt, and environmental pollutants from the day and start fresh.

Choose a clean face wash product that has hydrating ingredients to soothe the skin. Cleansing your face too often strips away all the moisture from your skin.

Wash your face just twice a day with a cleanser.

Toner complements your cleanser as a secondary product to get rid of any leftover makeup or dirt you may have missed.

It helps to remove excess oil, bring balance to the skin tone, and allow other skincare products to absorb fully into the skin.

Serums contain a high concentration of active ingredients that replenish your skin and keep it healthy.

If you have dry skin, you may try serums with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. They will refresh your skin and keep it soft.

Moisturizer adds moisture back to the skin, hydrating it and leaving you with a fresher appearance.

This is the most crucial step in caring for dry skin. Always apply moisturizer after washing your face and on damp skin.

This helps your skin stay hydrated throughout the day. Pick a hydrating moisturizer that does not contain any irritants.

Sunscreen has become a must-have part of any skincare routine and not just a go-to when headed to the beach or pool.

Damage from UV rays can quickly dry out the skin and leave it tight and flaky. Once you have moisturized your skin, it is time to layer it with sun protection.

Try to avoid sun exposure and seek shade as much as possible. Also, try to cover up properly and wear sunglasses.

Overnight Care:

Taking off your makeup is essential before you start your nighttime routine. You may use an oil-based cleanser or cleansing oil to remove your makeup.

Use a gentle water-based cleanser to wash your face and remove all traces of dirt. Give your skin an extra boost of hydration by using a night cream.

The overnight cream easily absorbs into the skin to hydrate and nourish the skin while you’re sleeping.
